MANILA, Philippines - Actress-TV host Kris Aquino shared her appreciation to comedienne-TV host Pokwang for supporting the candidacy of her brother, Liberal Party presidential candidate Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
In her tweeet, Kris said her family is really happy for Pokwang's assistance in her brother's presidential campaign.
"Our family will be eternally grateful to Pokwang for her effort to campaign for Noy. We love her for life!," Kris said.
In reply to Kris's message, Pokwang tweeted back that it's an honor for her to support the country's next president.
"I love you madame! Isang malaking karangalan ko po ang suportahan ang aking susunod na pangulo," Pokwang said.
Pokwang, who joined Aquino's sortie in Pampanga on Wednesday, said she enjoyed the experience of political campaigning.
"Sarap ng pakiramdam na finally nakasama ako sa sortie ni sen. Noy sa pampangga!! Ang saya daming tao!," Pokwang said.
On Friday, Pokwang and other stars are set to join the Liberal Party's miting de avance in Quezon Memorial Circle.
"Noy-Mar bukas sortie sa Qeuzon city!! Excited talaga ako yeehhheeeyyy!!!," Pokwang said.
Kris on election
Three days before the election, Kris appealed to Commission on Election (Comelec) to push through with the election on Monday, May 10.
In her tweet, Kris also said Comelec should also prepare for manual count.
She also urged all Filipinos to unite and help ensure the credibility of the democratic exercise.
"Panawagan sa taumbayan ni Noynoy Aquino:1. Dapat ituloy ng Comelec ang eleksiyon sa May 10! 2. Kailangan nang maghanda ang Comelec para sa manual count; 3) Kailangan makipag-ugnayan lahat na kandidato upang mapagtulungan ang full manual process. Bayan, magkaisa at manindigan! Ipaglaban natinang demokrasya!," Kris said.
Kris has taken a leave in her ABS-CBN's shows, including SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon, The Buzz, and her series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo."
