Kris has new inspirational album

MANILA, Philippines - Kris Aquino's newly-released album has created excitement in the music scene. Titled Blessings of Love (Universal Records), the top-selling CD again reflects an important phase in her life, told in inspiring words and music.

In the Pinoy music scene, Kris is also known as the queen of concept albums. Since she started recording concept CDs, all her albums have been consistently certified platinum.

Kris started her liner notes in the album with touching thank you notes, where she thanked her fans, Gary V, Martin Nievera, Ogie Alcasid, Jed Madela, JayR, Nina, Gail Blanco, Ronnie Liang, Erik Santos and Regine Velasquez. These artists have performed in the new CD.

The songs in the CD are Impossible Dreams (Martin Nievera), Love is the Answer (Gary V), To Where You Are (Jed Madela), You Are Not Alone (Nina), I Have Fallen In Love With The Same Woman Three Times (Christian Bautista), Dance With My Father (JayR), Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo (Gail Blanco), Ikaw (Ogie Alcasid), Iingatan Ka (Erik Santos), Kanlungan (Noel Cabangon and Aia De Leon), Walang Iba (Ronnie Liang) and Hindi Ka Nag-iisa (Regine Velasquez)

Noynoy walang balak pakasalan si Shalani

Alam mo Salve A. , ngayong si Sen. Noynoy Aqui­­no na ang susunod na uupong pangulo ng Pilipinas, mukhang wala pa itong balak na lu­ma­gay sa tahimik sa loob ng anim na taon ng kan­­yang termino kahit pa meron na siyang ka­sintahan sa katauhan ni Shalani Soledad na trenta anyos na ngayon.

Sa eksklusibong panayam ni Kris Aquino kay Shalani sa The Buzz, ipinasilip nito ang kan­­yang sim­­pleng pagkatao sa publiko bagay na ikinatuwa ng marami. Nakita rin ng mga ma­no­nood kung paano inalagaan ni Kris ang kan­yang panayam sa kanyang future sister-in law.

Sa Catanduanes ipinanganak si Shalani nung April 27, 1980 pero dito na siya sa Maynila lumaki. Maliit pa siya nang magkahiwalay ang kanyang mga magulang kaya lumaki siya sa kalinga ng kanyang maternal grandparents dahil nagta-trabaho sa Middle East ang kanyang ina.

Sa pagiging UNTV reporter unang nagka­kilala sina Sen. Noynoy Aquino at Shalani nung 2005 at nasundan ito nung 2008 sa Alfredo's Steak House in Quezon City kung saan kon­se­hal na noon si Shalani kasama ang vice mayor ng Va­lenzuela.

Pagkatapos ng kanilang meeting sa Alfre­do's, nag-text umano si Sen. Noynoy sa vice-mayor at inimbitahan silang lumipat sa kata­pat na Starbucks coffee shop at doon na hiningi ng kuya ni Kris ang number ng dalaga and the rest ay history nang ma­i­tuturing.

Sa darating na September 5 ay second an­niver­­sary na bale nina Sen. Noynoy at Shalani bilang magkasintahan.

Inamin din ni Shalani na sabay nilang pina­nood ni Sen. Noynoy ang movie noon nina Ri­chard Gu­tierrez at KC Concepcion.

Hindi pa senador si Sen. Noynoy nang ma­ging legislative staff si Shalani ni Sen. Ping Lac­son. Sa panayam pa ni Kris kay Shalani, nala­man ng publiko ang simpleng pinagmulan at bu­hay ng da­la­ga, ang pagiging sinsero nito, ang pag­ma­mahal at suporta na ibinibigay niya kay Sen. Noynoy Aquino.

Hindi man nakatuluyan ni Sen. Noynoy sina Korina Sanchez (na misis na ngayon ni Sen. Mar Roxas) at Bernadette Sembrano (na misis na ngayon ni vice-mayor Orange Aquinaldo ng Kawit, Cavite), may malakas kaming paniniwala na si Shalani na ang makakatuluyan ng kaisa-isang kapatid na lalake ni Kris. * * *

Ayaw tuldukan ni KC Montero ang posibilidad na muli silang magkabalikan ng kan­yang ex-wife na si Geneva Cruz. Legally, mag-asawa pa rin sila at wala pa sa immediate plans nila ang nag-file ng divorce.

Hiwalay man sila, aminado si KC na mahal pa rin niya ang dating misis although sa ibang level na. "I still love her pero in a different capacity," pa­­­ha­yag ni KC sa panayam sa kanya ni Pia Guanio sa Showbiz Central.

Sinabi rin ni KC na kahit hiwalay na sila ni Ge­neva, mananatili umano itong bahagi ng buhay niya at ng kanyang pamilya. Hindi rin nito ikinakaila na na­mi-miss niya ang kaisa-isang anak ni Geneva kay Paco Ares­paco­chaga na si Heaven na parang tunay na anak ang kanyang turing. * * *

May suspetsa ako, Salve A. na sa taong ito ay lalagay na sa tahimik ang singer-comedienne na si Rufa Mae Quinto who's turning 32 ngayong Mayo 28. Hindi man tahasang sabihin ni P-Chi (pa­la­yaw ni Rufa Mae), gusto na niyang mag­ka­roon din ng sariling pamilya.

Kilala si P-Chi sa pagiging workaholic dahil siya ang tumatayong bread-winner sa kanyang pa­mil­ya. Pero ngayong napagtapos na niya ang kan­yang mga nakababatang kapatid, it's about time naman siguro na pagtuunan ni P-Chi ang kanyang sarili.

Wala nang oras magsimba, Kris sa bahay na lang nagpamisa

Nagpatawag na lang ng pari si Kris Aquino sa kanilang bahay last Sunday na magmi-misa. Nawalan daw kasi ng chance na magsimba si Kris dahil sa kan­yang sked noong Linggo sa The Buzz and Pinoy Got Talent. So para maka-attend ng misa, nagpatawag ito ng kaibigang pari kuwento ng kaibigan niyang si Biboy Arboleda ng ABS-CBN.

Every Sunday daw kasi ay naga-attend sila ng mass sa St. Paul pero dahil sa bagong schedule ng TV host, 'di na ito makalibre.

Anyway, si Biboy ang supervising producer ng 'indie' film na Noy starring Coco Martin na ang aktor mismo ang producer. Yup, you read it right. Gumastos si Coco sa nasabing pelikula na ipalalabas na sa June 2. Journalist ang role niya rito kung saan sinundan niya si Sen. Noynoy Aquino simula nang magkaroon ng dinner sa bahay ni dating presidente Cory Aquino na dinaluhan ng maraming artista noon hanggang sa matapos ang huling gabi ng kampanya.

Nagsimulang mag-shooting si Coco na walang script - basta sinundan-sundan lang niya ang nanalo nang si Sen. Noynoy dala ang kanyang camera.

Isinisingit daw ng aktor sa taping niya ang shooting nito na ayaw nang sabihin ni Biboy kung magkano ang nagastos ng kanyang alagang aktor sa Noy na 40% lang ang magiging participation ng kampanya ni Sen. Noy.

May consent ng pamilya Aquino bago gawin ang pelikula.

At para makapag-shooting si Direk Coco sa kampanya noon ni Noynoy, nagbabalot siya ng t-shirt sa ulo para 'di makilala ng maraming tao. Pero after naman daw ng shooting ay nagtatanggal na ito ng cover sa mukha at saka ipakikilala.

Ayon sa creative director ng ABS-CBN na si Rondel Lindayag nang una niyang mapanood ang raw material, nagandahan siya pero kailangan nilang gawan ng script para magkaroon ng direction ang kuwento.

Isa raw ang pelikulang ito sa wini-wish gawin ni Coco, dagdag naman ni Biboy sa tsikahan kahapon - ang makapag-direk ng isang pelikulang may kabuluhan.

"Ang Noy ay tungkol sa mga Pilipino. Kung paano ba sila nabubuhay sa panahon ngayon and kung paano sila nakaka-survive sa araw-araw na buhay. Character ko dito si Noy. Kapangalan ko si Sen. Noynoy. Yung role ko rito as a journalist. May pamilya ako, magulang ko rito si Cherry Pie Picache, si Joem Bascon tapos may kapatid pa akong bata at girlfriend ko Erich Gonzales. Everyday trabaho para maka-survive, gagawin ang lahat.

"Nagkataon lang na 'yung tema ng pelikula, tumakbo sa oras ng eleksiyon mismo, sa campaign period. At 'yung subject matter na kailangan kong i-cover is si Sen. Noynoy," sabi ni Coco tungkol sa kanyang directorial debut na siya rin ang bida. "

Pero sinabi niyang sa rami ng indie film na nagawa niya, ito na ang pinaka-mahirap.

"Ito ata ang isa sa pinakamahirap kong ginawang pelikula. Tumakbo siya ng almost six months e. Kadalasan pinakamahaba na ang 11 days sa indie film. Pero eto kasi kumbaga, tinaon namin mismo 'yung mga real event sa election season mismo. Yung narrative at real event pinaghalo namin. Kumbaga sinasabayan namin 'yung mga totoong pangyayari during the campaign, pinapasok namin doon ang kuwento namin. Mahirap. Sabi ko nga dati nung nagso-shoot ako ng indie, kahit tumakbo ako sa daan walang pumapansin sa akin, kahit ano pang gawin ko diyan. Pero ngayon kasi, paglabas ko pa lang ng kotse, dahil naa-appreciate na ako ng tao, 'di ka na makakilos. Sabi ko nga habang ginagawa ko 'yun, kung hahayaan ko 'yun hindi ko maka-capture yung gusto kong mangyari, 'yung gusto kong palabasin. Gagawan at gagawan ko nang paraan para ma-achieve ko pagiging raw nung material or mga eksena. Gusto ko ma-capture or makita ng tao kung ano ba totoong nangyari, hindi dahil sinet-up or plinano. Gusto kong ma-capture yung di nila nakikita pa sa TV, during the campaign, yung mga secret na nangyari dito makikita nila sa pelikula," sabi niya sa kanyang karanasan nang gawin niya ang pelikula.

Kasama sa mga pinuntahan niyang sortie ni Noynoy ang Bulacan, Malabon, Metro Manila. Nagpunta rin daw ang aktor ng Samar, Cebu, Davao at aabot daw sa halos 20 probinsiya ang nasamahan niyang sortie ng kapatid ni Kris.

Makikita rin daw sa pelikulang ito ang ibang side ng uupong bagong pangulo ng bansa. Like makiki­tang sumasayaw at ang bonding niya sa kanyang mga pamangkin. * * *

Aminado si Diva Montelaba na merong pag­ka­kataon na naiinip na siya dahil after nilang magwagi sa Starstruck 5 ay wala pa silang regular na programa.

Panay workshop lang ang ginagawa nila at sa iisang programa lang siya regular - Party Pilipinas every Sunday though tatlong araw ang kinakain sa rehearsal para sa production number nila kasama ang ibang taga-Starstruck sa nasabing Sunday show ng GMA 7.

"Minsan naman po may mga guestings," susog niya.

Eh kailangan daw sana niyang kumita dahil nagre-renta silang mag-ina ng bahay dito sa Maynila, P11,000 plus kuryente at tubig pa at iba pang gastusin. "Nakaka-survive naman po. Buti na lang nga lately at maraming guestings," dagdag ni Diva na pumuti at kuminis na raw ang balat. "Minsan pa nga po, nakakapagpadala pa ako sa lola ko sa Cebu," dagdag niya. May sakit daw ang lola sa breast pero hindi niya ma-confirm kung may cancer ito.

Samantala, masama ang loob niya sa kanyang tu­nay na ama na isang beses pa lang niyang nakikita. "Nung first time pa po kaming magkita, hindi ko pa siya actually nakita dahil tumakbo ako nang makita ko na siya," pag-alala ni Diva.

Pero paminsan-minsan naman daw ay nagpa­paramdam ito sa pamamagitan ng text.

Paano kung bigyan siya ng datung para pam­bawi sa mga pagkukulang nito sa kanya? "Hindi po maba­ba­yaran ng pera ang mga pagkukulang niya sa akin," mabilis na sagot nito na type ding mag-join sa Bini­bining Pilipinas.

At kahit matagal-tagal na siya sa showbiz, natu­tu­lala pa rin siya sa tuwing makikita niya ang mga ini­i­dolo niya noong artista - during the time na nasa Cebu raw kasi siya adik siya sa artista. There was a time nga raw na hi­na­bol-habol niya pa ang van na sinasakyan ni Iwa Motto.

KC Concepcion on Kris Aquino leaving The Buzz: 'Ginulat niya kaming lahat'

said that KC Concepcion is one of the few stars who will make credible and influential hosts in the future. KC was very flattered about this and promised to work harder so she will not let people who believe in her, down. " Grabe naman 'yun. Siyempre it is the dream to be able to be recognized for something you worked to hard at you know if you are recognized, fulfilling talaga yung pakiramdam. For me I've been working so much on our show and on my live interviews sa The Buzz, if they are going to label me that, sana it is because they see the hard work that we put into it," KC said.

But while she is enjoying her new hosting ventures such as her recently launched morning talk show, Simply KC, there are some detractors who question her capabilities and "raw" hosting background. "I'm not going to defend myself, just watch the show kasi if you will worry too much about, "Can she? Can she?"... Manood na lang kayo, i-enjoy niyo na lang. Kapag tinatanong ako kung worth it ba, sinasabi ko talaga panuorin na lang yung show (Simply KC) kasi dun po nabubuhos yung atensyon ko,hindi po sa pag self-doubt or anything kasi kung doon po ako nag-focus wala na po akong ibang magagawa."

Meanwhile, KC was heavy-hearted when she learned about Kris Aquino leaving The Buzz. "Of course, nalulungkot ako, ginulat niya kaming lahat. I saw her sa birthday ni Tita Cory Vidanes, and I asked her, "Are you leaving?" She said, "Yes." Sabi ko, " Sayang naman, just when we were getting to know each other and just when we were spending time." Then she said, "Don't worry we still have six weeks, it will be fun, it will be fun!" And I am sure naman magkikita kami sa mga function of President Noynoy Aquino, I'm sure we will see each other sa mga io-organize nilang events," KC shared.

Regardless of how people look at Kris, KC said that she will always admire the Queen of All Media's innate honesty and transparency. "Of course, people have things to say pero ako kasi I give the person benefit of the doubt lagi. I always try to see kung ano yung maganda sa isang person and si Tita Kris naman is so generous to the point na we should actually appreciate how open she is to us. Kasi ako nga ninenerbiyos pa rin ako kapag ini-interview But she is really open about her life, kahit sabihin niyo na there are things you don't agree with, at the end of the day it takes a lot for a person to open up her life to the public and that is one thing I admire, how open she is kasi hindi madali 'yun and she has the courage to do that."

Kris and Ai Ai's decision irks 'Pilipinas Got Talent' fans

Some of the fans of "Pilipinas Got Talent" are crying foul over what they allege as the partiality shown by judges, Kris Aquino and Ai Ai de las Alas, over a certain contestant.

Apparently, fans disapprove the two judges' decision to vote for Sherwin Baguion instead of Geraldine 'Fame' Flores. With this vote, Baguion had shut out Flores from entering the show's finals.

"May mga tenga ba kayo? [do you have ears for music?]," asked a PGT fan in one website.

Another fan shared, "Aquino and de las Alas] are bullsharks!"

Still another pointed out, "Honestly your [Aquino and de Las Alas] reasons for choosing Sherwin are not that acceptable. PGT is not a charity show. It is a talent show... you should've chosen the one with real talent."

Seemingly eager to appease the fans, Aquino, via Twitter, wrote: "I'll defend my choice of Sherwin, may emotional attachment kami ni friendship w/ him because we saw his dad perform (Kuryente King) & we could feel their love for family. He has a voice that can be developed to be like Jed (my favorite). We r allowed to text vote- honestly I super voted for Reiniel- kasi nga MJ obsessed kami ni Bimby- shocked ako na #4 lang sya!"

Aquino's tweet, however, failed to placate disgruntled fans.

"Kapag judge ka isantabi mo muna emotions mo," wrote one.

"Your [Aquino] reason is shallow and disappointing," charged another.

"Sherwin missed notes and you still consider him the winner? All because of your so-called emotions? You robbed Fame of her right. Disappointing," rejoined another.

ABS-CBN, owner of the franchise made for TV reality contest, has kept mum on the controversy as of this writing. De las Alas has yet to issue a statement.

Kris Aquino shares Blessings of Love

"Thank you CD buyer. I haven't sung a single note, but you've supported my CDs and have given me 4 straight Platinum Albums in 3 years. Help spread the word and make this my 5^th platinum, okay?"

Thus started talk show host and actress Kris Aquino's personal thank you list found on the liner notes of her latest album released by Universal Records titled Blessings of Love.

For those who remain doubtful about Kris's bankability, her four previous albums were all indeed certified sellers based on sales figures despite her not having to croon or belt out tunes one after the other.

Blessings of Love follows the same route.

Shaped perhaps by the death followed by the overwhelming love accorded to her mother by the public and the impending proclamation of her brother Noynoy as the country's 15^th president, the album carries more personal theme songs bordering on love, lost, hope and nostalgia.

Martin Nievera leads the lineup of songs with his own written material titled "Impossible Dreams"--an obvious nod but not to be confused to the classic poignant tune "The Impossible Dream," which is one of the tunes associated to Ninoy Aquino's struggles during the Marcos regime.

"Thank you for giving me such a beautiful song that paid so much tribute to the legacy of my parents," Kris wrote to the Concert King. "Thank you for acknowledging how much Mom's life changed the political outlook of your own family."

NOTEWORTHY SINGERS. Aside from Martin Nievera, other big names who lent their time and talent to the project were Gary Valenciano ("Love Is The Answer"), Jed Madela ("To Where You Are"), Nina ("You Are Not Alone"), Jay R ("Dance With My Father"), Gail Blanco ("Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo"), Erik Santos ("Iingatan Ka"), Ogie Alcasid ("Ikaw"), Noel Cabangon and Aia de Leon ("Kanlungan") and Ronnie Liang ("Walang Iba").

Christian Bautista's cover of Jose Mari Chan's "I Have Fallen In Love (With The Same Woman Three Times)" undoubtedly is one of the disc's highlights. The mentioned track is close to Kris's heart since the lyrics of the song were based on a poem written by Ninoy to Cory.

The theme song of Noynoy's campaign "Hindi Ka Nag-iisa" composed by Ogie Alcasid and interpreted by Regine Velasquez was also included in the album.

"You told me 'Hindi Ka Nag-iisa' the song was an answered prayer that you wrote in just a couple of hours. You literally had a dream and it became our battle cry. Thank you for the gift of music when our hearts were still bleeding from such a profound loss," reads Kris's message to Ogie.

Blessings of Love once again reveals an intimate part of Kris through music that inspires and touches the heart of every listener.

"I believe there's always a reason to feel blessed, to feel grateful," said the TV personality in her message sent out to fans. "I thank God for giving me this life that I wholeheartedly share with all of you."

Kris may bagong kaaway

Kung totoo ang balita, malamang madagdagan na naman ang ma­ga­­galit kay Kris Aquino dahil hin­di pa man nakakaupo ang kan­yang kapatid na si Noynoy Aquino bilang pangulo ng bansa ay na­ba­balita nang inalok niya si Joey de Leon para pamunuan ang Optical Media Board (OMB) na nangangasiwa sa pagsugpo ng pi­ra­cy sa bansa. Pina­mumunuan ito sa ngayon ni Ronnie Ricketts. Bago siya ay si Edu Manzano ang head dito. Uma­lis lamang ito nang magpasyang tumakbo bilang bise presidente at si Ronnie nga ang humalili sa kanya.

Gayung bago pa lamang si Ronnie sa kanyang trabaho, marami na rin naman siyang nahuhuling pira­ta at nagawang perwisyuhin ang kanilang operasyon sa bansa. It was the other Saturday, May 15, on Startalk when Dra. Vicki Belo confirmed that she and Kris Aquino were friends again. Muling kinuha ni Dra. Vicki si Kris as endorser at nag-sign si Kris ng three-year contract sa Belo clinic.

Kung matatandaan, nagkaroon ng falling-out ang dalawa nang matsismis ang asawa ni Kris na si James Yap na may relasyon sa staff member ni Dra. Vicki na si Hope Centeno.

Ayon kay Kris sa Startalk kahapon, May 22, "Actually, na-interview ko siya before noong paumpisa pa lang ang programa ko. And it was already okay then. Tapos nagkaroon sila ng konting isyu ni Boy [Abunda, her co-host and manager], so medyo hindi na naman naging okay."

Nagbiro kasi si Vicki last February na, "If you want to look like Boy Abunda, go to Calayan [Surgicentre]. But if you want to look like Dingdong Dantes and Piolo Pascual, come to Belo [Medical Group]," bagay na dinamdam nang husto ng King of Talk. Pero nag-apologize naman ang beauty doctor kinabukasan.

Patuloy ni Kris sa kanyang kuwento sa Startalk, "Hindi pa kami nagkikita or nag-uusap, pero mahabang proseso 'yan ng pakikipag-negotiate ng kontrata na every step of the way, si Boy ang gumawa ng negotiation with her representative. So, wala siya rito, pero, magpapa-treatment ako."

Manumbalik pa kaya ang dati nilang samahan?

"She's abroad. But when she gets back, by all means, of course, puwede kaming magsama. I'd love to and I'm now endorsing her clinic and her products again. And I kept Boy. Kung sinabi naman ni Boy na, 'Krissy huwag,' e, di hindi ko gagawin, di ba? Kasi ayoko... si Boy naman, bukas na bukas ang loob niya na sabi niya, 'Oo, move on na tayong lahat.'"

"DESPEDIDAS" FOR KRIS. Kris was asked kung ano ang reaction niya sa mga naglalabasang online petitions particular na sa Facebook kunsaan may panawagan na umalis na nga raw siya ng bansa.

Kung matatandaan, nagbitiw ng salita si Kris noon na aalis na lamang siya ng bansa kung makakasira siya sa kanyang kapatid na si Senator Noynoy Aquino kapag ito'y nahalal bilang pangulo ng bansa.

Merong "despedida" thread for Kris sa Facebook although ngayon, meron na ring "No Despedida for Kris, we love her" na thread sa naturang site.

Ayon kay Kris, "Yun nga ang sinasabi ko kay Noy, 'You know, Noy, if you become president at ang dami pang isyu dahil sa akin, I'll leave na lang.' Tapos, sinabi ni Noy sa akin, 'Kristina, tigilan mo na ang kadramahan, hindi ito teleserye.'

"So you know, if my brother took it lightheartedly, na kung tutuusin po, ang responsibilidad ko para sa kapatid ko at hindi para dun sa mga naninira ngayon kasi nga talunan sila. Masasabi ko lang kasi, sinabi na ni Noy, hindi ako masamang tao at ina-acknowledge niya na malaki ang nagawa ko para matulungan siya kasi nga, kapatid ko siya.

"Ngayong alam ko na nakabantay ang lahat para mabigyan ko ng sakit ng ulo si Noynoy, do you honestly think consciously or unconsciously, may gagawin ako para makasira kay Noy?"

Dugtong pa niya, "Siyempre, utang namin sa siguro—when the final tally is over—sa more than 15 million Filipinos na nagtiwala kay Noynoy at magluluklok sa kanya sa posisyon. So, hindi na lang din naman para kay Noy kung hindi para dun sa 15 million Filipinos na nagtiwala. Siyempre naman, noong binoto nila si Noy, alam nila na kapatid ako ni Noy. Alam nila na kapatid si Ballsy, si Pinky at si Viel, di ba? Alam nila na walang First Lady si Noy, so, alam nila na part and parcel kami kay Noynoy. So, gagawin ko talaga ang lahat ng makakaya ko na tutulungan ko siya without being a burden on him and I'll be in my very best behavior."

Kung ano ang ikinaiba ng panahong ang ina niyang si Corazon Aquino ang pangulo ng bansa at ngayon namang ang kapatid niya ang magiging presidente, ang sabi ni Kris, "During the time of Mom, may excuse ako. I was 14 during the election and I was 15 when she took her oath. And it ended I was 21. So bata ako. Ngayon naman, 39 years old ako at matatapos ang termino niya na 45 years old ako.

"Please naman, magbi-behave ako," nakangiti niyang sabi.

(UPDATE) Kris Aquino makes up with Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines -- Actress and television show host Kris Aquino has made peace with Sarangani Congressman-elect Manny Pacquiao, following their differences during the election campaign.

Now that the elections are over and her brother, Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, is way ahead in the presidential race, Kris has set aside their differences and is friends again with Pacquiao and his wife, Jinkee.

“Kami nga ni Jinkee Pacquiao, OK na OK na ulit eh. Sinabi ko talaga sa kaniya, ‘Mare nagtampo ako sa asawa mo’. Pero OK na ngayon, love-love-love,” Kris said during Tuesday’s episode of Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN).

Before the elections, Pacquiao appeared in a TV ad for his presidential bet Sen. Manuel "Manny" Villar, Jr. He said in the ad in an apparent reference to Noynoy: "Merong iba diyan, laban nang laban sa salita pero wala pa namang nagawa."

In her Twitter account, Kris posted a short comment criticizing a “Pinoy sports icon” who had indirectly criticized her brother, for his lack of experience and achievements as a politician.

Kris hit back (twitter.com/iamkrisaquino): “In politics, Noy has won 3 straight terms sa Congress and won almost 15 million votes sa senatorial [race] in 2007. How sad na he didn't think na in politics, knockout nga siya.”

Kris was referring to Pacquiao’s first attempt in politics against Darlene Custodio-Antonino in South Cotabato in 2007.

Not mad at Sarah G.

Kris also clarified that she is cool with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, who endorsed Villar's running mate, Sen. Loren Legarda.

In her reaction to a Twitter question aired on SNN, she said Geronimo never criticized Noynoy or any member of the Aquino family.

“Naunawaan ko kung anong desisyon nila. For as long as hindi mo inatake maliciously ang kapatid ko or any member of our family, wala sa akin 'yon,” said Kris.

She even said that she looks forward to possibly working with Gerenimo in the future.

“I really pray that one day I can work with her,” Kris added.

Kris won’t be my First Lady – Noynoy

Presidential frontrunner Senator Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III supports the decision of his sometimes-controversial sister, Kris Aquino, to give up part of her showbiz career for the sake of the apparent incoming “First Family” but clarified that she will not take the role of “First Lady.”

“Her decision’s okay,” said Sen. Aquino when asked about Kris’ soft departure from show business during an interview after the Holy Mass of thanksgiving joined by his campaign volunteers in Quezon City last Thursday night.

But the apparent successor to Malacañang was quick to clarify that his sister’s decision to move away from show business is not a confirmation of her taking the role of First Lady.

“She’s (Kris is) not going to be the First Lady. I have a contract with my sisters that once I’m proclaimed, they will return to their respective private lives,” the 50-year-old bachelor said.

Earlier, Kris said she has come to the decision of giving up hosting “The Buzz” and “Showbiz News Ngayon” after deliberating on it with her sisters, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Pinky Aquino-Abellada, and Viel Aquino-Dee.

Kris said she will minimize her television appearance “for Noynoy’s sake," but will keep her stints in her daily primetime soap opera and a talent search program.

As a brother, the senator said he supports Kris’ decision because it would give her more time to attend to her sons, Joshua and Baby James.

“That will give her more time for her children. While Baby James is already attending school, Joshua is growing taller and bigger. It’s hard whenever he invites me to go out, he literally drags me like the other day at The Podium,” Sen. Aquino said.

“Kris might be giving up hosting talk shows, but I think she also wants to embark in different areas in her career path. Let’s just wait and see how her career will go on,” Noynoy added.
When asked if he intends to have a First Lady, Noynoy was hawkish. “I recognize that being married can inspire me, but I am at the same time cognizant of possibly making the wrong choice. Getting married then will only be a heavy burden,” he said.

Kris Aquino: 'I'll be on my very best behavior'

Shalani: Noynoy's priority is 'bayan muna'

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE 1) - Winning presidential candidate Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's girlfriend and newly-elected councilor Shalani Soledad said that Noynoy's priority now is the country.

Soledad, who was proclaimed winner last Thursday by the Commission on Elections, shared that from the start, she and Noynoy agreed that, if elected, they have to give up their personal interests to focus on their work as public servants.

She revealed that her priority now is serving the people of Valenzuela, an industrial and residential suburb north of Manila.

"From the start, I think it was very clear naman to the both of us yong trabaho namin and kung ano ang requirements nito and very supportive naman din siya in terms of my career. And of course, ako I understand na bayan muna," Shalani told Ces Drilon of ABS-CBN News late Thursday.

"Like I've always said, I will always stand by Noy kung ano yung kailangan niyang gawin. Nakasuporta tayo at naiintindihan natin yon," she added.

Soledad pointed out that Aquino has a big responsibility ahead of him.

"Akala kasi ng madami pag nanalo ka, it's all a bed of roses. Pero actually, napakalaking trabaho. Napakalaking hamon yung haharapin ni Noynoy so kailangan talaga mag-focus. Kasi ngayon, responsible na siya sa lahat sa atin. Yung reforms and agenda na gagawin, lahat yun para sa atin yon, sa buong bansa. So kung dati, medyo minimal yung kanyang level of responsibility, ngayon mas malaki syempre. Mas kailangan ng mas madaming atensyon," she said.

In a previous press conference, Aquino said that his girlfriend will have no official role in his administration since Soledad will also be busy doing her work as a councilor.

"Si Shalani naman will be performing her functions as councilor of the City of Valenzuela," said Aquino.

In an interview, Viel Dee, one of the senator's sisters, gave her thoughts on the issue that Soledad might be Noynoy's first lady. She stressed that her brother's priority now is the country and not settling down with Soledad.

"It's better if he has a wife so hindi lang kaming mga kapatid ang aasahan niya. Sorry to Shalani pero low priority yata talaga ngayon yong sa kanya," Dee said.

Historian Manolo Quezon says having a president who is single is not new to the Philippines.

According to him, there were three leaders who served the country without their husbands or wives.

During the time of the U.S. occupation in the country, American governor-general Frank Murphy had his sister take on the role of first lady.

Former President Elpidio Quirino's daughter Vicky also took the role of first lady while president Corazon Aquino, mother of senator Noynoy, had no escort during her official functions.

Quezon says that based on protocol, no title will be given to a president's girlfriend during official functions in the palace.

None of the senator's siblings want to be first lady and prefer to return to their private lives.

"Alam naman namin kung gaano kahirap, kung paano maging part of the first family. Every move you make is magnified a thousand times. Kung pwede lang back to normal life as much as possible," Dee said.

Quezon believes it would be better if Noynoy goes solo during official functions since his mother never had a problem running the government alone.

Shalani Soledad, Kris Aquino face off

MANILA, Philippines - Valenzuela 2nd District Councilor Shalani Soledad has opened up about her more than a year relationship with winning presidential candidate Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

Soledad, 30, was interviewed exclusively by Noynoy’s youngest sister, Kris. During the interview, she shared details about their first meeting as well as her thoughts on her 50-year-old boyfriend’s remarks that marriage is not his priority right now.

The interview was aired on “The Buzz” Sunday.

Below is Kris’s full interview with Soledad.

Kris (K): Umpisahan natin from the very, very beginning. April 27, 1980, 'yon ang birthday mo. Ano ang type of family 'yong nakagisnan mo?

Shalani (S): Close ako sa mga relatives ko. Uncle ko, tita ko, cousins ko and lalo na sa brother ko.

K: How many years older sa'yo ang brother mo?
S: Three years. I'm the youngest. Dalawa lang kami.

K: Nabanggit mo lahat ng mga relatives, hindi mo na-mention ang mommy mo.
S: Because was my mom was working abroad for almost 20 years. Tapos once a year lang siya umuuwi like 2 months.

K: Saan siya nagwo-work?
S: 'Yong last ni mommy was in Kuwait.

K: Middle East.
S: Yes.

K: Naka-ilang years siya doon?
S: Sa Middle East, almost 20 years.

K: So, sino ang nag-alaga talaga sa iyo?
S: Lolo and lola ko sa mother side ko.

K: You can choose to answer this or not pero saan 'yong father along the way?
S: Hiwalay kasi sila ng mommy ko. Since I was small, hiwalay na sila.

K: Did you know him at least or did you have a relationship?
S: There was really no relationship but yes, I know him. Kasi magkaaway sila ng mommy ko.

K: Were you a good student?
S: Average. I was not on the top.

K: Anong hilig mo? Like high school, doon ka magjo-join ng kung anu-anong mga club, groups?
S: My club was religious club. (Laughs). Kami 'yong taga-dasal, actually. Praying plus teaching the younger class ng mga Bible stories. And drama club, actually.

K: Punta na tayo sa college.
S: College, I took up human resource management at CSE. I still have my PE class, actually.

K: Bakit hindi mo ginawa ang PE?
S: Because I ran for councilor already so naiwan. Hindi ko na nabalikan.

Public service

K: Saan nanggaling ang hilig sa pulitika?
S: I guess, it's my love for people. Kasi 'yong mom ko lahat sila into government service pero walang elective post. Ako 'yong first sa family namin to have an elective post.

K: Why did you feel na ito 'yong tamang landas na tahakin mo?
S: Dito ko naramdaman 'yong sinasabi nilang fulfillment. Meron pala 'yon. Dati akala ko showbiz at cliche pag sinasabi na may sense of fulfillment... Kasi in spite of hirap, 'yong pagod, kapag nakikita mong nakakatulong ka and people appreciate that; pag nag-tha-thank you sa'yo, ang sarap sarap ng feeling.

K: You did work for Senator Lacson?
S: During 2002-2003.

K: Was he a senator then? Pero hindi pa kayo nagtagpo ng landas ni Noy kasi 2007 siya na-elect na senator?
S: Yes.

Love story

K: Ito na ang gustong marinig ng lahat, paano ba kayo nag-meet?
S: 'Yong first was during 2005. I was then with UNTelevision. I was covering 2005 SONA. Reporter. We did that interview with Noy. My question was it was not something about the SONA, it was something about you. So, ang sabi ni Noy, 'My sister is old enough to answer those questions.'

K: Pero kailan kayo nagkakilala ulit?
S: 2008. Alfredo's. Kasama ko ang vice mayor ko and then at the same time nandoon din sina Noy and then afterwards nagpa-picture kami kay Noy.

K: And then?
S: Sabi ni Noy, 'I am the chair of the local government committee. Baka mayroon kayong amendments na you would want to introduce. Let me know.'

K: Binigay niya 'yong number niya sa'yo?
S: Hindi, kinuha nila ang numbers namin. Across Alfredo's, merong coffee house so nauna sina Noy. So after a few minutes, nag-ring 'yong phone ng vice mayor namin, ini-invite daw kami ni Noy mag-coffee. (Laughs)

K: I'm sure hindi naman si vice mayor ang gusto niyang maka-kape. Tapos?
S: That time, nag-cross kami. When we got there, nandoon 'yong staff niya.

K: And you realize now that Noy doesn't even drink coffee?
S: Yes.

K: Tumabi ka naman sa kanya?
S: No, we were seated across and then kinukwento niya na 20 years ago na mayroong coup tapos 3 of his PSGs were gunned down. Sabi niya it's a miracle na nabuhay daw siya. So, sabi ko naman sa kanya na, "Senator, baka hindi mo pa talaga time.' Ang sabi niya, 'Oo nga, dahil 20 years after makikilala pala kita.'

K: Kadiri ha, Noy. Gross. (Laughs). Hindi ko kaya! I thought I was the baduy one in the family. Kinabog ako ni Noy sa linyang 'yon. Do you remember what day it was? 'Yong exact date?
S: Yes. July 28.

K: Ano 'yong first date ninyo? Alam ko nanood kayo ng movie ni KC (Concepcion) at ni Richard Gutierrez? For the First Time?
S: Yes.
K: Movie ko na nga sapilitan pang manood 'yon. So, sinamahan ka niyang manood?
S: Oo. Pero first and last na daw 'yon.

K: May anniversary ba kayo?
S: Yes. Sept. 5, [2008].

K: What were the signs na ito na, this is it?
S: Kinikilig ako. With Noy, from previous relationships, parang na-realize mo na kung ano ang gusto mo. And you would want someone na honest sa'yo, 'yong totoo, 'yong hindi ka binobola lang.

K: One year, 8 months na kayo. Matagal na 'yon ha for Noy. (Laughs).

Meeting the family

K: Anong na-feel mo noong una mo kaming nakilala?
S: Si Noy afterwards, tinatanong niya ako, 'So, how was it?' Ang tinatanong niya more on sa mommy ninyo. So, sabi ko, 'Noy, actually na-starstruck ako hindi sa mommy mo, kay Kris.' So, tawa lang siya ng tawa.

K: Kailan bago mo siya pinakilala sa mommy mo?
S: Si Noy kasi nanliligaw pumupunta siya sa bahay.

K: Hindi ba nag-alangan ang mommy mo na halos ka-edad niya si Noy?
S: Ang apprehension ng mommy ko was... sinasabi niya sa akin 'to na, 'Anak, senator yan nakakasama ninyo.' Kasi baka we seemed to forget daw na dahil nakakasama namin si Noy, almost every night kasama naming mag-dinner out. Sabi ng mom ko, 'Anak, hindi tayo mayaman. Baka hanapan ka or singilin ka.' Baka daw api-apihin ako. Sabi ng mommy ko.

K: Me?
S: No naman. Sabi ng mom ko, 'You know, Noy being an Aquino. Very prominent ang family.'

K: I hate to bring this up because it means I know too much but noong time na medyo my mom was nearly dying na, I think you went through a rocky point of your relationship. Tama ba ako? Nahirapan ka bang ilagay ang sarili mo kung saan ka dapat ilalagay?
S: In a way. Because siyempre alam ko na masakit kay Noy. At the same time, I wanted to be there for him pero...

K: Paano mo titimbangin kung saan ka lu-lugar?
S:Yes.

K: Para at least finally na-tackle at alam na ng buong mundo. Di ba kaya ako nagalit sa'yo kasi dinedma mo si Noy? The way I heard the story parang 8 hours siyang nagtext at nag-miss call tapos parang ang tagal bago ka naka-reply.
S: No. Walang 8 hours. Matagal na siguro 1 hour and a half pero wala namang 8 hours.

K: Pero do you also realize na he's also the type na minsan ite-text mo and then 14 hours or 24 hours ang sagot?
S: Si Noy?
K: Oo, sa akin. Sa'yo, hindi naman?
S: Nagre-reply.
K: Iba ang girlfriend, iba ang sister.

Deep commitment

K: Doon na tayo sa nag-iba na. Yong tumakbo sa presidency that's why sinabi ko 'yon sa The Buzz. Sinabi ko na appreciative kami kasi marami kang napuntahan na mismo kami hindi na namin napuntahan at nagawa sa kanya. Kung tatanungin kita, why did you do it?
S: I believe in him, No. 1. And second I wanted to be of help also to Noy.

K: Pero, thoughtful naman siya as far as being a boyfriend is concerned?
S: Thoughtful si Noy in a sense na sa birthdays, special occassions at kung ano ang nagiging need mo, ina-anticipate na niya.

K: Anong stage na kayo sa relationship ninyo?
S: It's a deep commitment pero at this point kasi parang napakalaki noong task na haharapin ni Noy. So, ang focus talaga should be on the task ahead of him kasi ang hirap.

K: Tatanunging kita, 30 ka ngayon. Are you ready to wait 6 years?
S: I hope.

K: Kasi ilang times na inulit na ni Noy na within his term na parang hindi niya nakikita na he would be settling down. Na-hurt ka ba noong narinig mo 'yon?
S: In a way. Siyempre ako I'm looking forward kasi when you're in a relationship you're looking forward long term. Since mahal mo you would support what he wants and what he needs.

K: Hindi mo naisip 'yon na baka sa kakahintay mo, hindi kayo magka-baby, hindi kayo magka-family nang sa inyo?
S: Ako kasi I just pray. Kasi when you are in a relationship you just hope na it would be better. Siyempre, long term, di ba? Let's see. Kasi hangga't mahal mo ang tao, maghihintay ka.

S: No.

K: Pag nagtatampuhan, may moments na walang pansinan?
S: Meron.

S: Take turns.

K: The last tampuhan, who made the first move?
S: Ako, kasi kasalanan ko.

K: Mabilis mong makuha ang lambing? Pagmagso-sorry, hindi naman pakipot?
S: Si Noy kasi may mood siya na very sweet, may mood din siya na medyo mataray. Like one time, this was during the campaign, I called him up then he answered sabi niya, 'Why?' Sabi ko, 'Wala naman Noy, nami-miss lang kita.' Sabi ni Noy, 'You called me just to tell me that? I'm in a middle of conversation here.' Yan, ganyan siya. (Laughs)

K: Hurt-hurt-an ka doon.
S: Opo.

For the First Time

K: May love song ba kayo?
S: For the First Time.

K: Anong pwede mong sabihin kay Noy na pwede mong i-share sa buong Pilipinas?
S: Congratulations, of course. And whatever happens siguro, it's a very hard time siguro right now because ang daming magiging adjustments. Both sa relationship natin or relationships mo with your family and other people. Nandito lang ako. I hope you really, really appreciate how much people love you. And siyempre kay Noy, super love kita.

K: Nagi-I love you ka ba on the daily basis?
S: Not everyday.

K: Sa text?
S: Yes.

K: Ano 'yong sa text? Love yah? (Laughs)
S: Complete na I love you with smiley.

Kris Aquino remains upbeat

MANILA, Philippines - Although she is leaving hit celebrity shows "The Buzz" and "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon," television host Kris Aquino is still in high spirits.

On her Twitter page, Kris said after her 3-week vacation with her 2 sons, Joshua and James "Baby James" Yap Jr., she is returning to ABS-CBN with new TV programs.

Kris is taking Joshua and Baby James "on their long delayed Disney vacation for 3 weeks in August."

"When I come back, I'll have new shows for ABS CBN, I can still act, host a game show, judge a talent show, or finally fulfill my dream of having a lifestyle/travel show w/ a community sharing component. Life is good & I feel positive! Love love love," Kris tweeted.

The host-actress has already shot down the possibility of returning to her talk shows like "The Buzz" after the term of her brother, winning presidential candidate Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, expires 6 years from now.

"Kasi, ang tanda ko na. Pagkatapos ng term ni Noy, 45 years old na ko. So parang feeling ko, hindi ata bagay talaga," she said.

The queen of all media is leaving "SNN" and "The Buzz" on June 25 and June 27, respectively, to help Noynoy fulfill his campaign promises. She will be part of TV soap "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" until mid-August.

Kris giving up shows for Noy

reveals it's a supreme sacrifice on her part to give up two of her programs on ABS-CBN, "The Buzz" and "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN). And it's not only because she loves both shows but also because she is making good money from both.

"But for Noy, my sisters and I are willing to do anything, everything. We all feel na ang responsibility niya ngayon bilang bagong elect na Presidente ng Pilipinas needs our cooperation. Or even more.

"I admit na may pagkataklesa ako," she says. "Baka kung ano na naman kasi ang masabi ko na hindi ko naman sinasadya at nakakasakit ng tao. Ayokong because of me, mapintasan si Noy."

But she will still be seen in the series, "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo," until August.

"May twist ang ending ng show. And I'm excited."

It's Baby James who is no longer going to appear in the series. In order not to ruin the flow of the story, his character will appear but now a little older.

As it is, Kris admits she has no idea yet how her character will be made to re-appear in the series.

Kris's Baby James is ready for school

MANILA, Philippines - TV host Kris Aquino will spend more time with her family especially now that youngest son James Yap Jr., also called Baby James, is set to go to school for the first time.

Baby James, who already experienced acting via ABS-CBN's hit series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" which also stars his mom Kris, will now focus on his studies.

"Magsa-summer muna siya middle of June to July to get used to the system. Then mag-school na siya. Okay lang, huwag na lang sabihin kung saan kasi malayo from our house. Yung travel time and for security purposes na lang for him, huwag ko na lang sabihin," Kris said.

Once Baby James starts going to school, Kris will definitely give more time to help her son adjust to school.

"Excited ako na at least try ko na two to three times a week ako ang maghahatid sa school para naman may bonding talaga kami," she said.

"Parang ibang iba kasi ngayon. Noong panahon ni Josh there was so much to prove as far as me being a host was concerned. Ngayon naman na siguro na marami na akong napatunayan, panahon ko talaga na maging as much of a mommy as I can possibly be."

Like Kris, Baby James is also looking forward to going to preschool.

Asked by his mom if he is excited to go school, Baby James promptly replied: "Oo."

Baby James, who turned 3 last April 19, will have his first day of school on June 14.

Kris: Shalani proves love to Noynoy during campaign

Habang lumilinaw na si Senador Noynoy Aquino ang susunod na pangulo ng bansa, nananatiling malabo naman kung pakakasalan na nito ang nobyang si re-elected Valenzuela Councilor Shalani Soledad.

Patuloy pa rin kasi ang pag-iwas ni Noynoy sa mga tanong ng media kung may magaganap na kasalanan sa Malacanang sa malapit na hinaharap ngayong tapos na ang kampanya.

Ngunit laging paliwanag ng kuya ni Kris Aquino na mas kailangan muna niyang tutukan ang bagong responsibilidad na nakaatang sa kanyang balikat ngayong inaasahang na siya ang papalit na lider sa Palasyo.

Sa mga isinasagawang bilang ng mga boto sa mga kandidato sa katatapos na halalan, mahigit limang milyong boto ang kalamangan ni Noynoy sa sumusunod sa kanya na si dating pangulong Joseph Estrada.

Sa mga unang panayam kay Noynoy, aminado ang 50-anyos na binata nina dating pangulong Cory Aquino at dating senador Ninoy Aquino Jr., na madalas ay nagiging sentro siya ng atensiyon sa pagtitipon ng kanilang angkan dahil lagi siyang natatanong kung kailan siya lalagay sa tahimik.

Minsan na rin inamin ni Noynoy na nakakaramdam siya ng inggit sa kanyang mga kaklase at kaibigan kapag nakitang kasama ang kani-kanilang pamilya kapag nagkikita sila sa pagtitipon.

Bongga ang kakampi ni Shalani

Sa episode ng The Sweet Life nitong Biyernes sa QTV 11, naging bisita nina Lucy Torres-Gomez at Wilma Doesnt si Kris. Si Lucy ay nanalong kongresista sa Leyte sa ilalim ng Liberal Party na partido ni Noynoy.

Nang tanungin ni Wilma si Kris kung nagbibigay ito ng advise sa kanyang Kuya 'Noy pagdating sa usapin ng pag-isip, sinabi ni Kris na nakita niya noong panahon ng kampanya ang pagmamahal ni Shalani sa kanyang kuya.

Ayon kay Kris, bumilib siya kay Shalani sa ibinigay nitong suporta at pagpapakahirap sa kampanya ni Noynoy. Nag-ikot umano sa maraming palengke ang konsehala sa iba't ibang bahagi ng Pilipinas habang hindi pa nagsisimula ang local campaign.

Nanalo muli at naging number one councilor sa Valenzuela ang nobya ni Noynoy.

"Kung prove your love medyo na-prove naman n'ya (Shalani) talaga thru service. So I told her basta kakampi mo ko...o 'di ba bongga 'yon, ako yung kakampi n'ya," natatawang kuwento ni Kris.

'Presidential sister'

Tulad umano ng panahon na ang mommy nila na si Gng Cory ang nakaupo sa Malacanang, sinabi ni Kris na tutulong din silang magkakapatid na babae sa administrasyon ni Noynoy.

Batid daw ng senador na hindi niya magagampanan ang lahat ng trabaho ng isang pangulo kaya kakailangan niya ang tulong ng mga kapatid. Kinausap na raw silang magkakapatid ni Noynoy para sa kanilang magiging papel sa kanyang administrasyon.

Ayon kay Kris, sa ginawa nilang pag-iikot sa bansa noong panahon ng kampanya ay may kanya-kanya silang magkakapatid na nais tutukan matapos nilang makita ang mga problema sa bansa.

"Sabi ko ako Noy nakita kung gaano kaganda ang buong Pilipinas. Kulang tayo sa pag-push ng tourist, at this moment we only have 3 million (tourists a year). Ang Thailand na nagkakagulo ngayon averaging 15 million. Maka-six million lang tayo that's another 3 million jobs," paliwanag ni Kris.

Idinagdag niya na babalikan nila ang mga lugar kung saan sila nagbitiw na pangakong tulong upang matiyak na matutupad nila ito sa loob ng susunod na dalawang taon.

Posible rin umanong magsalitan silang magkakapatid sa pagdalo sa mga State Visit ni Noynoy. Pero bukod sa "official" function, si Kris pa rin umano ang mangangalaga sa mga isusuot at magiging image ng kanyang kuya hanggang sa pagpapagupit nito.

Tiniyak din ni Kris na hindi nila bibigyan ng sakit ng ulo si Noynoy dahil batid nilang maraming problema ang bansa na kakaharapin ng susunod na pangulo.

Inamin din ng aktres na may mga kandidatong senador na hindi kasama sa partido ni Noynoy ang sinuportahan niya.

"Puwede nang sabihin ngayon 'di ba tapos na naman...Meron naman akong mga binoto na senatorial candidates na hindi kapartido ni Noy. Alam ni Noy yun kasi gumawa pa ako ng commercial isa sa kanila, yung isa doon kumpare ko," pag-amin ni Kris.

Kris on calls for her to exit RP: 'I intend to stay put, sorry'

There will be no need for a despedida for Kris Aquino, who declared she is staying in the country despite the clamor for her to leave.

"I intend to stay put, sorry. Wag niyo muna akong paalisin. Sabi ni Noy hindi ako masamang tao," Kris announced on "The Buzz," May 16.

A Facebook group called "Kris Aquino's Despedida" made waves recently because of its call for the Queen of All Media to fulfill her "promise" to leave the Philippines once her president-apparent brother, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, gets elected.

As of this writing, the group has 19, 962 members.

A "more mature" and "behaved" Kris---as she described herself during the show's episode---addressed the issue anew squarely, saying, "Ang sinabi ko po dati is kung makakasira ako kay Noy, then by all means lalayas ako."

While critics think of her as a "liability" for Noynoy, she believes otherwise.

"Sana ho hindi niyo ho i-take as being mayabang, it's just a fact. Nakatulong po ako sa kapatid ko," she crowed.

Prior to the start of the campaign period, the ever-controversial host-actress took a temporary absence from her late night entertainment news show, "Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN)," and primetime drama, "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo (KTM)," to help in his brother's campaign. From March 10 to May 7, Kris went around various cities and provinces to woo Filipinos to vote for her brother.

She thanked Noynoy for standing by her amid the denigration she received from critics during the campaign. "Instead of just enjoying his victory, kailangang i-defend pa niya ang kapatid niya. Thank you, Noy. I love you," she said.

Fans in the audience shouted "We love you Kris!" during the Kapamilya prized star's speech which she echoed back.

"At wag na kayong makipag-away sa Twitter at Facebook. Dedma na dun!" she told them.

Setting the issue aside, Kris vowed to help the soon-to-be 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines "in every possible way that I can for as long as he wants me to help him," even if it means sacrificing her career.

"I am not at liberty po to disclose to you certain career changes for me kasi sa Tuesday (May 18) pa po namin kakausapin ang mga bosses dito sa ABS-CBN. Meron po akong mga programa na after June 30 (when her brother begins his six-year term) kailangan kong i-give up. It's a sacrifice. It's something I'm willingly going to do for my family," she intimated.

Kris hinted she might relinquish "certain areas in my career that caused Noy difficulty."

"Alam ko po na may mga instances na meron po akong nasasabi na kawawa naman ang kapatid ko, na ngayon magiging presidente na, siya pa 'yung kailangang managot. So ako po mismo, it came from my heart: 'Noy, I'll give it up for you.'"

While talks between her and ABS-CBN are yet to take place, the influential celeb will resume hosting for "SNN" and portraying her character Celine, whom she said will "rise from the dead" on "KTM."

Kris' big career move, she said, is for her family's "peace of mind," in fulfillment of the promises she gave in behalf of her elder brother during the campaign.

"Ang dami ko kasing probinsyang napuntahan na napangakuan ng napakarami. And I have to be true to my word. Lahat nung mga pinangako kong tulong na ipapaabot ni Noy kailangan ko pong magampanan because they trusted us," she related.

Kris intends to begin fulfilling that promise by donating school supplies (not cellphone load, which was reportedly guaranteed in a bogus text message) to children who live in areas where Noynoy got plenty of votes. Mongol Pencils pledged to donate one million worth of school supplies, to which Kris said she will add another million pesos from her own pocket.

Their mother, the late President Cory Aquino, may not have received the miracle of a longer life, but the miracle of fulfilling her dream "na maging okay ang Pilipinas" was realized through Noynoy's victory, Kris reflected.

"So I know that Mom is happy and Mom knows that her kids ay mas lalong naging close dahil sa experience na 'to."

On a lighter note, Kris made a "love love love" shout out to her brother's girlfriend, Shalani Soledad, with whom she was once rumored to be not in good terms.

"She proved to me how much she truly cared for Noy by campaigning 100 percent. Kakampi mo na ko," she said.

Kris Aquino is happy to be back on Showbiz News Ngayon

Last night, May 17, Kris Aquino finally resumed hosting on Showbiz News Ngayon after taking a two-month leave in lieu of her brother Noynoy’s presidential campaign. Looking refreshed in her sheer black ensemble, the Queen of Talk was also happy to see the newly-furnished set of the show which was prepared in time for her comeback. But of course she didn’t forget to express her deepest gratitude to Toni Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez, and Bianca Gonzalez, who temporarily replaced her during her absence. “Toni, Mariel and Bianca, you’re just so gracious. Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job and it was my pleasure to share it with you.” She further shared that the trio gave her lots of “homecoming gifts” including a designer bracelet from Bianca, a pair of shoes from Mariel, and loads of healthy food from Toni. “Tapos today nilibre pa nila tayo. Maraming salamat sa piging na pinadala nila,” she added.

In the same way that Mariel, Toni, and Bianca were all grateful for the chance to replace Kris on the show even for just a short period of time. “Yung lapel ng SNN may letter K yun. Sobrang kinikilig ako every time na gagamitin ko yung lapel na yun. Tapos I even took a picture of it. Mami-miss ko yung lapel na yun kasi alam ko na yun din ang ginagamit ni Ate Kris. Proud na proud ako at least mababalik na siya sa rightful owner niya,” Mariel happily stated.

Bianca further shared that the experience even taught them to become better hosts. “Words cannot express kung gaano ka-blessed yung feeling naming tatlo na we were able to do a show katulad ng SNN. Ate Kris, welcome back, thank you so much for trusting me, Toni and Mariel to be on the show. It’s such a big break for all of us.” To which Toni added, “Ate Kris, I will always be thankful dahil you allowed us to work with your best friend Tito Boy. And I will never forget this experience na once in my life, nag-fill in ako for you.”

Kris Aquino to resign on SNN and The Buzz

Kris Aquino announced last Tuesday night, (May 18) on Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN) that she will give up hosting the late-night showbiz oriented talk show and The Buzz after her brother Sen. Noynoy Aquino’s proclamation as President of the Philippines on June 20. The Queen of All Media explained that taking her sisters’ advice, she has decided to leave these shows to avoid making comments that could be taken against his brother.

“Nung Sunday po bago sa The Buzz (May 16) napag-usapan po ng pamilya namin kung ano ang mga expectations of us, specifically me, pagkatapos po ni Noynoy na ma-proclaim nga sa June 2010,” she said on SNN. Kris clarified that the decision was hers and Noynoy did not impose on her. “Napagpasiyahan po namin for the duration of Noy’s presidency, magpapaalam po ako sa aking mga shows that can cause controversy for him. Ang ibig pong sabihin niyan iiwan ko po ang SNN on June 25, 2010 at ang last The Buzz (episode) ko po is June 27, 2010.”

She clarified though that she is not entirely leaving showbiz behind because she will still be seen on the teleserye Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, which will run until August. She added that she requested the management that after her mom, former president Cory Aquino’s, first death anniversary this August, she will go on a three-week vacation with her family. “Pero in September po naghahanda na po sila ng programang angkop at babagay po sa mga pagbabago ng buhay namin,” she added.

Kris also called for understanding for the need to make the sacrifice. She said that she needs to avoid making comments that can be misinterpreted. “…And kawawa naman po ang kapatid kong si Noynoy dahil nagpaka-taklesa ako, eh siya ang magiging tagasagot pa, eh opinyon ko naman ‘yon.”

She said that while she is giving up her main sources of income, she needs to prioritize her family. “So ngayon ayoko nang gumawa ng kasalanan para hindi ko pahirapan si Ate (Ballsy), si Pinky, si Noynoy, at si Viel.”

" Meron po akong mga programa na after June 30 kailangan ko pong i-give up. It's a sacrifice, it's something I'm willingly going to do for my family."

Kris said that she talked to her siblings and she asked for their advice about the career changes that she is about to take and they will go with her when she meets the executives of the Kapamilya network this coming Tuesday. " Sasamahan ako ng mga kapatid kong babae para po ma-explain namin 'yung mga decision ko. Para po ito sa peace of mind ng pamilya ko, para kay Noy. Andami ko pong probinsya na napangakuan nang napakarami and I have to be true to my word. Lahat ng pinangako kong tulong na ipapaabot ni Noy kailangan ko pong magampan 'yung tulong na 'yon because they trusted us."

Kris also acknowledged the fact that there have been instances when her statements and actions concerning some of her shows have backfired at her brother, and she has decided to make sacrifices so that detractors won't have any reason to attack the incoming president. "So ako po mismo, it came to my heart, I told him, 'Noy I'll give it up for you.'"

But Kris said that until June 30, she will continue with her work, and is coming back on Showbiz News Ngayon tonight, May 17 and her character Celine in Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo will also return. "After June 30 there are many, many changes na magaan sa loob ko," she stressed.

Coco Martin gets an apology from Kris Aquino

The Prince of indie Movies denied that he has given up doing indie films since a TV career is a more lucrative venture. "Never akong mawawala sa paggawa ng indie movies kasi ito 'yung kaligayan ko, eh. Dito ko nae-express 'yung pagiging artist, sa paggawa ng mga pelikula dito," he said.

The actor also candidly said that he could have done possibly everything an actor could do when it comes to acting, such as doing love scenes and frontal nudity. " Naipakita ko na lahat. Ang pagiging artist kasi parang part ng trabaho ko 'yung katawan ko, so bakit ko bibigyan ng limitasyon?" he justified.

Coco appeared uncomfortable when he was asked if he felt angry towards Kim Chiu and Kris Aquino, who previously was rumored to have laughed at Coco's "cheap" clothes. The actor answered that he felt really afraid of Kris when they were just starting taping for Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo, but he gradually felt at ease because Kris and Kim are really mabait.

"And napatunayan ko talaga kasi nakita ko kung gaano ka-simple kang tao. Nakita ko talaga na humble, hardworking, and nakaapak (ka) talaga sa lupa, so na-inspire talaga ako." The Queen of All Media also thanked Coco for supporting her brother Sen. Noynoy's presidential campaign and added that aside from liking him as an actor, she promised Coco that she will be sincere to him for the rest of her life.

Coco is starring in an independent film this June, which tells the story of Sen. Noynoy Aquino's campaign for the presidency, entitled Noy.

Coco Martin squares off with Kris Aquino

If there's one thing Coco Martin could teach Kris Aquino, it is what "mapusok" means.

The "Prince of Indie Films" Martin, made controversial, if not famous, for his body baring roles in his movies, was on the hot seat on the Tough Ten segment of 'The Buzz' on May 16. But this question--about his biggest regret--is only the fourth toughest question... as it turned out.

In his first-ever live TV interview, apparently upon the prodding of the soon-to-be presidential sister, Martin pointed to his "pagiging mapusok" in his young age as the root of the mistakes he'd made in his life.

Quickly, Aquino asked, "What does mapusok mean?"

"Naging padalus-dalos sa mga bawat desisyon ko sa buhay... Hindi ko pinagiisipan nang tama," Martin replied.

Well showbiz, of course, is not lacking in the reckless people department, that much is pretty obvious. But Martin was quick to point out that his decisions made him who he was.

Martin, it will be noted, is Aquino's co-star in their teleserye, "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo." Right at the beginning of the segment, Aquino pointed out that Martin already looked "mayaman" at "parang ang kinis-kinis mo." Media savvy enough, Martin readily acknowledged his sponsors.

The first question asked was about being a sellout--of forsaking indie for a bigger-paying job on TV. "Hindi po totoo 'yan... Never akong mawawala sa pag-gawa ng independent movies kasi eto 'yung kaligayahan ko eh. Dito ko nae-express 'yung pagiging artist ko."

Aquino trumped on her being "privileged" and having a certain cut-off for her tapings--at 2am, she revealed--that Martin didn't have. "Kaligayahan na walang tulog," she asked. "Enjoy ka dun?"

"Sabi nila 'pag artist ka raw, kahit gaano kahirap 'yung ginagawa mo, 'yung fulfillment sa craft mo, kapag na-achieve mo 'yun, lahat mabubuhara... lahat ng pagod," he responded.

When asked about any special person that he would not want to lose, Martin said, "Siyempre lola ko, siya kasi ang nagpalaki sa akin at siya ngayon ang kasa-kasama ko.... 'Pag nawala siya, feeling ko mapipilayan ako." He also admitted he might soon be able to afford to buy her a house.

When made to choose between love and money, Martin fumbled a bit but eventually picked love. Gerald Anderson was then prompted on screen to ask which is the better actor between the two of them. Martin was hard-pressed to compare but said Anderson was more a matinee idol type while he is the dramatic kind. For his most daring role "for the sake of art," he said, "Naipakita ko na ang lahat eh."

From an indie star, Aquino pointed out that Martin had become a primetime star, an endorser and also a movie co-producer. She then asked what would be his last wish that, when fulfilled he'd happily die after. "'Yung maayos ko 'yung pamilya ko. Ginagawa ko naman lahat ito, 'yung pagpapaka-pagod ko, para sa kanila. 'Yung ma-kompleto ko 'yung mga kapatid ko. Tatlo kami... tapos meron akong dalawang kapatid sa father's side," he said.

Gina Pareno asked the third toughest question, about what Martin would say to the people who wanted to tear him down.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila," he answered, to which Aquino reacted with, "Humph!"

"The old Kris bumalik nanaman, sorry... Bakit ka magpapasalamat eh pinapabagsak ka nga," she wailed.

"Kasi para sa akin... sila 'yung rason kung bakit ako nagiging humble. Kung bakit ako nakatapak pa rin sa lupa," he said, and Aquino replied quietly, "Ay ganun din ako!"

Martin continued, "The more na inaapi ka, o sinasabihan ka ng 'di maganda, lalo ka nag-iingat... at lalo mong binabantayan 'yung mga bagay-bagay na hindi makaka-apekto sayo."

Aquino again wailed, "Parang ako!" And turning to the audience, she asked, "Ba't kayo natatawa, hindi niyo ba ma-feel? 'Di ba parang we're so alike na," she laughed.

The second toughest question had Martin admitting he puts too much pressure on himself based on high personal standards. "Pinarurusahan ko 'yung sarili ko... Kung minsan nasa kotse ako, nagkukulong ako--which is weird--pero dumarating 'yung point na naiiyak ako dahil feeling ko mali 'yung ginawa ko sa trabaho."

The last and toughest question came from Kim Chiu, who pointed an old intrigue involving herself, Aquino and Martin. Recall that at one point it was reported that Martin was bullied by Aquino and Chiu. "Nagtampo ka ba sa amin?" Chiu asked.

"Aminin mo na, nagalit ka sa amin kasi feeling mo ba naging wicked witches kami? Or nagulat ka kasi ang dami kong tanong," Aquino added.

"Hindi naman nagalit, nagulat ako. Unang-una, sobrang takot na takot ako sa inyo, Ms. Kris. 'Pag lumalapit kayo, hindi ko alam kung saan ako magtatago. Nung dumating po 'yung point na nakilala ko na kayo, at nakilala ko na mas lalo si Kim, dun na nagkapalagayan ng loob."

Kris, who said she now liked Martin because Baby James also did a lot, apologized to him on the air for asking too many questions, wanting to prove the rumors about him wrong. She said she realized he was sincere and humble, which inspired her. She said even soon-to-be President Noynoy Aquino singled him out and insisted she thank him.

"Gusto kong malaman mo na for the rest of my life, I will be sincere towards you. At nagso-sorry na ako na nakialam ako sa buhay mo nung dapat hindi ako nakikialam dahil hindi pa naman tayo close. But now that I'm a 'new Kris,' hindi ko na gagawin 'yon," she added, laughing. Who knows, maybe a tiger really can change its stripes.

The interview, of course, was a promo for Coco Martin's upcoming, "Noy, The Movie." The movie, which opens locally on May 26, is actually about a character named Agapito, nicknamed Noy, who poses as a journalist commissioned to produce a documentary following the 2010 campaign trail of the presidential bet and his namesake Noynoy Aquino III.

While this has already caused quite a stir among Netizens, chalk this one up to the clever timing and, indeed, a brilliant title pick by the people at Star Cinema.

Indeed, if Aquino could take her brother all the way to Malacañang, we're guessing getting moviegoers to watch "Noy, The Movie" would be a lot easier.

Kris on calls for her to exit RP: 'I intend to stay put, sorry'

There will be no need for a despedida for Kris Aquino, who declared she is staying in the country despite the clamor for her to leave.

"I intend to stay put, sorry. Wag niyo muna akong paalisin. Sabi ni Noy hindi ako masamang tao," Kris announced on "The Buzz," May 16.

A Facebook group called "Kris Aquino's Despedida" made waves recently because of its call for the Queen of All Media to fulfill her "promise" to leave the Philippines once her president-apparent brother, Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, gets elected.

As of this writing, the group has 19, 962 members.

A "more mature" and "behaved" Kris---as she described herself during the show's episode---addressed the issue anew squarely, saying, "Ang sinabi ko po dati is kung makakasira ako kay Noy, then by all means lalayas ako."

While critics think of her as a "liability" for Noynoy, she believes otherwise.

"Sana ho hindi niyo ho i-take as being mayabang, it's just a fact. Nakatulong po ako sa kapatid ko," she crowed.

Prior to the start of the campaign period, the ever-controversial host-actress took a temporary absence from her late night entertainment news show, "Showbiz News Ngayon (SNN)," and primetime drama, "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo (KTM)," to help in his brother's campaign. From March 10 to May 7, Kris went around various cities and provinces to woo Filipinos to vote for her brother.

She thanked Noynoy for standing by her amid the denigration she received from critics during the campaign. "Instead of just enjoying his victory, kailangang i-defend pa niya ang kapatid niya. Thank you, Noy. I love you," she said.

Fans in the audience shouted "We love you Kris!" during the Kapamilya prized star's speech which she echoed back.

"At wag na kayong makipag-away sa Twitter at Facebook. Dedma na dun!" she told them.

Setting the issue aside, Kris vowed to help the soon-to-be 15th president of the Republic of the Philippines "in every possible way that I can for as long as he wants me to help him," even if it means sacrificing her career.

"I am not at liberty po to disclose to you certain career changes for me kasi sa Tuesday (May 18) pa po namin kakausapin ang mga bosses dito sa ABS-CBN. Meron po akong mga programa na after June 30 (when her brother begins his six-year term) kailangan kong i-give up. It's a sacrifice. It's something I'm willingly going to do for my family," she intimated.

Kris hinted she might relinquish "certain areas in my career that caused Noy difficulty."

"Alam ko po na may mga instances na meron po akong nasasabi na kawawa naman ang kapatid ko, na ngayon magiging presidente na, siya pa 'yung kailangang managot. So ako po mismo, it came from my heart: 'Noy, I'll give it up for you.'"

While talks between her and ABS-CBN are yet to take place, the influential celeb will resume hosting for "SNN" and portraying her character Celine, whom she said will "rise from the dead" on "KTM."

Kris' big career move, she said, is for her family's "peace of mind," in fulfillment of the promises she gave in behalf of her elder brother during the campaign.

"Ang dami ko kasing probinsyang napuntahan na napangakuan ng napakarami. And I have to be true to my word. Lahat nung mga pinangako kong tulong na ipapaabot ni Noy kailangan ko pong magampanan because they trusted us," she related.

Kris intends to begin fulfilling that promise by donating school supplies (not cellphone load, which was reportedly guaranteed in a bogus text message) to children who live in areas where Noynoy got plenty of votes. Mongol Pencils pledged to donate one million worth of school supplies, to which Kris said she will add another million pesos from her own pocket.

Their mother, the late President Cory Aquino, may not have received the miracle of a longer life, but the miracle of fulfilling her dream "na maging okay ang Pilipinas" was realized through Noynoy's victory, Kris reflected.

"So I know that Mom is happy and Mom knows that her kids ay mas lalong naging close dahil sa experience na 'to."

On a lighter note, Kris made a "love love love" shout out to her brother's girlfriend, Shalani Soledad, with whom she was once rumored to be not in good terms.

"She proved to me how much she truly cared for Noy by campaigning 100 percent. Kakampi mo na ko," she said.

Kris Aquino: "I intend to stay put."

Ibinuhos ni Kris Aquino ang lahat ng kanyang saloobin sa The Buzz kahapon, May 16, kaugnay ng kanyang mga pinagdaanang hirap sa pangangampanya para sa kanyang kapatid at presidential candidate na si Noynoy Aquino, gayundin ang pagharap niya sa iba't ibang intriga sa pulitika.

Sinimulan ni Kris ang kanyang pahayag kasama ang co-host niyang si Boy Abunda sa pamamagitan ng pagpapasalamat sa sambayanang Pilipino sa pagsuporta kay Noynoy. Hindi pa man naipoproklama ang kanyang kapatid bilang bagong Pangulo ng Pilipinas, kasalukuyan naman itong nangunguna at mahigit limang milyong boto ang kalamangan sa isinasagawang bilangan ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC).

"Mahirap mag-presume, di ba Boy? Pero siyempre po na ngayon na more than 90 percent na po ng mga votes ang na-tally naman ng Comelec, it is safe to say thank you to the entire Philippines. I'm not claiming na naging successful po ako dahil alam naman po natin ang Region 1 and Region 2, hindi naman po namin teritoryo talaga. Pero pong ipagmalaki na certain areas that we were not so confident about really went in our direction especially Cebu," pahayag ni Kris.

Special mention kay Kris ang mga probinsiyang nagbigay ng malaking boto para kay Noy.

"Region 8, I love Region 8! You're my new friend. Ang dami ko pong I love... Pero siyempre naman, ang aking mga Tarlaceño po, 73.19 percent of them chose Noy. Siyempre ang Albay, I'm so happy I went there, 61.77 percent. And of course, Ate Vi [Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto], I love you, I thank you. All of us love you so much kasi sa Batangas, 60.16 percent."

Pero sadya raw talagang may mga lugar na hindi naging pabor ang mga boto para kay Noynoy.

Ayon kay Kris, "Inamin ko kay Noy kanina, sabi ko, 'Noy, meron akong areas na nag-fail ako.' Sabi niya, 'Ano ka ba? Panalo na.' 'Hindi, I failed you in Davao, sorry.' Tapos sinabi niya sa akin, 'Kalimutan mo na yun.' Okay. Alam mo, Boy [Abunda, Kris's co-host], hindi natin maiaalis na we do live in a democracy. May mga areas talaga na meron talaga silang mahal na kandidato at hindi natin puwedeng alisin sa kanila.

"Pero ang gusto po naming ipasalamat... There were days talaga na tatlong oras lang ang tulog ko. There were days na absolutely walang tulog. There were days lalo na sa Pangasinan--thank you Pangasinan 42.98 percent--inulan tayo. Yun totoo talaga, yung kay Melissa Ricks kasi, natunaw din yung contact lenses ko dahil sa ulan. So, it's really... All the pagod, it's really worth it.

"It is unbelievable kasi, di ba, election day parang ayaw mong magbukas ng TV dahil natatakot ka talaga sa exit polls? Natatakot ka dun sa unang bagsak ng mga reports? So, hindi ako gumising until 11 pm. Talagang sleep ako. Paggising ko, sabi ko, 'Eto na.'"

FACING THE INTRIGUES. Ipinagpasalamat naman ni Kris ang ginawang pagtatanggol sa kanya ni Noynoy laban sa sari-saring intriga na kinaharap nila. Bukod kasi sa mga black propaganda kay Noy ay naging puntriya rin ng mga intriga si Kris.

"Nag-lunch po kami as a family. It is the first time we were all together, Noy, my sisters, me [after the elections]. There were certain things that we had discussed. Siyempre si Noy, I want to say thank you to Noy. Instead of just enjoying his victory, kailangan i-defend pa niya ang kapatid niya. Thank you Noy, I love you. You deserve all my love because you love me back. Hindi, kasi mabait talaga ang kapatid ko," saad ni Kris.

Binigyang-linaw rin ni Kris ang tungkol sa isyu ng pagpapaalis sa kanya sa bansa na isinusulong ng isang grupo sa Facebook na tinatawag na Kris Aquino Despedida. May nabitiwan daw kasi siyang salita noon na kapag nanalo si Noynoy ay aalis siya ng Pilipinas at mananatili na lang sa isang lugar kung saan may TFC (The Filipino Channel).

"So, kaklaruhin ko lang po," panimula ni Kris. "Ang sinabi ko naman po dati, kung makakasira ako kay Noy, by all means lalayas ako. Pero sana po, hindi n'yo i-take ito as being mayabang, it's just a fact. Nakatulong po ako sa kapatid ko. And balak ko pong tulungan si Noy in every possible way that I can for as long as he wants me to help him."

Ayon kay Kris, madami raw silang hinarap na hirap at mga isyu sa panahon ng kampanya.

"It was not an easy campaign. It was a dirty campaign. Marami po kaming tiniis na batikos. But meron pong napatunayan sa ating lahat, tayong mga Pilipino ayaw natin ng negative campaigning. Hindi tayo naniniwala sa paninira sa ating kapwa. Kaya nga, it's time for a better Philippines," saad niya.

Nang may fans sa loob ng studio na sumigaw ng "We love you, Kris!" sinagot naman ito ng TV host-actress ng, "I love you, too! At huwag na kayong makipag-away sa Twitter at Facebook. Deadma na dun."

SACRIFICING HER SHOWBIZ CAREER. Bagamat tapos na ang eleksyon, hindi pa rin daw tapos ang pagsasakripisyo ni Kris lalo na sa mga bagay na may kinalaman sa kanyang showbiz career.

"Ang buong [family]...ako, si Ate [Ballsy], si Pinky, si Viel, ang buong buhay namin, ibinigay namin sa pangangampanya at sa eleksyon ni Noy dahil nangako kami sa Mommy [late President Cory Aquino] namin na hindi kami mag-iiwanan, aalagaan po namin. Kinausap ko po ang mga kapatid ko. Humingi po ako ng payo sa kanila kung ano yung nararapat para po sa akin. So, sa Tuesday po ang meeting namin sa mga boss namin dito. Sasamahan ako ng mga kapatid kong babae para po ma-explain namin yung mga desisyon ko.

"Para po ito sa peace of mind ng pamilya ko at para kay Noy. At para rin po, ang dami ko kasing probinsiyang napuntahan na napangakuan ng napakarami. E, I have to be true to my words. Lahat po ng mga ipinangakong tulong na ipapaabot kay Noy, kailangan ko pong magampanan yung tulong na yun because they trusted us, Boy. So, that trust, yung tiwalang yun, yung botong yun, isosoli po namin. Paano? Sa serbisyo para sa bawat Pilipino dahil walang korapsyon."
