Kris Aquino says she doesn’t feel burned out despite her busy schedule

Bukod pa roon, she is also a mother to two boys, Joshua and Baby James and a wife to basketball player James Yap. Gayunpaman, sinabi ni Kris na never niyang naramdaman ang pagka-burn out. Aniya, malaki ang naitutulong ng pagiging masaya sa ginagawa niya and she is happy with her personal and professional life. “Kasi, number one (source of happiness) talaga ‘yung mga anak ko, constant source of joy talaga,” simula ni Kris. “Alam mo ‘yung joy na yon, at this point both of them talaga they would still prefer my company over any body else, ‘yun ang bongga don. And then mula two years old (ako), it’s not an exaggeration to say that this is what I wanted to be doing. So very few people I think are blessed to have the career that they wanted as a child. ‘Yung dream mo ‘di ba? So ‘yun eh. So hindi talaga ako nabu-burn out.”

“Alam mo my bad days lang naman talaga are Tuesdays and Wednesdays kasi ‘yun ‘yung talagang from 10 am to midnight (ako nagtatrabaho). But I have Saturdays off unless I’m shooting a commercial kasi ‘yung Saturdays ko kailangan mag-mass at 6:00 pm and mag-dinner in the event na hindi kaya ng Sunday,” pag-amin ni Kris. “Sunday after The Buzz, eat-out time with the kids. They get to choose kung saan (kakain) but they’re both into Japanese so dadalawang restaurants lang ang iniikutan namin every Sunday night na pati siguro ‘yung mga waiters nagsawa na sa amin.”

Ani Kris, they get to watch movies every other week and sometimes dinadala nila ang mga bata. “I love to sleep more than eating. I can skip meals but I can’t skip sleep. Ang problema dun nga, it takes one and half to two hours (before I can sleep at night kasi) ‘yung adrenaline kasi ang taas. So mga 1:30 AM to 2:00 o’clock AM pa ko nakakatulog.”

Top US diplomat tells Aquino: Get well

MANILA, Philippines – US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton sent a note to the family of former President Corazon Aquino wishing her a fast recovery from colon cancer, Washington’s envoy to Manila said.

United States Ambassador Kristie Kenney said she handed over Clinton’s letter to the Aquino family on Wednesday.

On the same day, Kenney attended a healing mass for the world democracy icon at the Manila City Hall on Wednesday, which was organized by city Mayor Alfredo Lim.

“I am here for a special reason, because not just myself and the government of the United States but several millions of Americans are praying for President Cory. I am here to represent them,” Kenney told reporters.

“I also brought today to the Aquino family a personal letter from US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to President Cory wishing her a fast recovery,” Kenney said.

“I think she (Aquino) has many contributions. One is for being strong in the face of adversity, and being true to her beliefs in freedom and liberty and certainly her faith as well. She's always for Filipinos first. These are great contributions not only for leaders, but for many Filipino citizens,” the envoy added.

Aquino is battling stage 4 colon cancer. On Tuesday night, she called all of her five children to her bedside, her youngest daughter, television host Kris Aquino, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer (parent company of INQUIRER.net).

The former president’s spokesperson, Deedee Siytangco said after the mass in Manila that Aquino was “stable” and her vital signs were “okay” even as her appetite had not improved.

Siytangco also cautioned the public against rumors on Aquino’s health.

“I know the public needs to know, but if there are rumors -- I know there are -- just ignore it, unless you hear it from us,” she said.

Apart from City Hall officials and employees, most of whom came dressed in Aquino's signature yellow, former Malacañang protocol officer Miguel Perez Rubio and former Senate President Franklin Drilon, also attended the mass.

Cory Aquino calls her 5 kids to bedside

MANILA, Philippines—The ailing Corazon Aquino called all her five children to her bedside on Tuesday night, according to her youngest daughter.

“Last night, we were all here [at Makati Medical Center]. I called all my siblings after my mom asked for all of us to be together,” TV host and actress Kris Aquino said Wednesday in a text message to the Inquirer.

Aquino, 76, was diagnosed with colon cancer early in 2008 and has been confined at the hospital since June for loss of appetite.

Her other children are Ma. Elena “Ballsy” Cruz, Victoria Elisa “Viel” Dee, Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Abellada and Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III.

The former President remains in stable condition, her spokesperson Deedee Siytangco told reporters after the third of five healing Masses was celebrated Wednesday at Manila City Hall.

“As far as I know, she’s stable [and] her vital signs are okay. But her appetite has not improved,” said Siytangco, who urged the public to ignore nasty rumors about Aquino’s condition.

Siytangco said the Aquino family had promised to update her.

“They promised to call if anything changes,” she said. “I know the public needs to know, but if there are rumors—I know there are—just ignore them. You [will hear updates] from us.”

Letter from Hillary

Masses for Aquino’s healing have been celebrated at Manila City Hall since Monday.

US Ambassador Kristie Kenney, Ambassador Miguel Perez Rubio and former Senate President Franklin Drilon were among those who attended Wednesday’s noon Mass along with Manila City Hall officials and employees, most of whom came dressed in Aquino’s signature yellow.

Kenney later told reporters that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had sent a letter to Aquino.

“I am here for a special reason, because not just myself and the government of the United States but also several millions of Americans are praying for President Cory. I am here to represent them,” Kenney said.

The ambassador added: “I also brought today to the Aquino family a personal letter from US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to President Cory wishing for her fast recovery.

“I think she has made many contributions. One is for being strong in the face of adversity, and being true to her beliefs in freedom and liberty, and certainly her faith as well. She’s always for Filipinos first. These are great contributions not only for leaders, but also for many Filipino citizens.”

Siytangco said the letter—“a personal note, an offering of prayers”—was delivered to Aquino by her former appointments secretary, Margie Juico, who was also at the healing Mass.

More Masses

Another healing Mass was celebrated by Fr. Greg Banaga at Adamson University Wednesday at 5 p.m.

An “alay na dasal ng mga mahihirap” (offering of prayers by the poor) is scheduled on July 26 at 9 a.m. at Sto. Niño Church in Tondo, Manila.

It is being organized by former President Joseph Estrada.

MANILA Mayor Alfredo Lim has been holding a series of healing Masses for ex-President Cory Aquino at City Hall, which started on Monday and last until Friday. Seen at the Mass on Wednesday with Mayor Lim are US Ambassador Kristie Kenney and ex-Sen. Franklin Drilon who was Ms Aquino’s executive secretary, among other positions he held in her Cabinet. The Aquinos’ spokesperson says the iconic President Cory is stable and people should ignore “the nasty rumors.” REM ZAMORA

Prayers sought for ailing Cory Aquino

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE 4) Hoping their beloved Tita Cory rallies, friends of the ailing former president Corazon Aquino gathered Wednesday at the Greenbelt chapel in Makati to start off a nine-day series of Healing Masses for the 76-year-old People Power icon who is battling cancer.

“Our hearts are burdened because of the illness of our beloved former president, and the pain and discomfort she has to endure,” broadcaster Korina Sanchez said, reading a novena prayer for Tita Cory, as the former president has been fondly called.

“She needs all your prayers,” Ms Aquino’s spokesperson, Deedee Sytangco, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

In a separate interview with INQUIRER.net, Sytangco said Aquino, who is at the intensive care unit, was conscious and vital signs are stable and asked the public to respect the family’s privacy.

"We also ask the public for support and prayers," Sytangco said over the phone.

The Makati Medical Center has not issued any medical bulletin.

Mrs. Aquino was taken to the Makati Medical Center last June 24 due to lost of appetite.

Sytangco said Ms Aquino has been visited by her priest-friends since her second hospital confinement on June 25.

“We hope she rallies,” Sytangco said.

The chapel was filled with sympathizers for the noontime Mass intended for the former president as well as others who are suffering from cancer.

“You took the hand of our dear sister Cory, as she struggled through every trial, as she confronted every challenge, and embraced every cross of her life. Take her hand now and have mercy on her and upon all poor souls who are in agony and make Your will known to them,” Sanchez also said, still reading from the novena prayer.

Sytangco said Sanchez had asked Ms Aquino to stand as sponsor at her wedding to Senator Manuel Roxas.

Ms Aquino “is in a very serious condition,” said a close Aquino family friend who asked not to be identified by name for lack of authority to speak to the press on the former president’s condition.

“Tita Cory is conscious. She can talk and pray but she's not well. It's serious," the friend added.

Among those who attended the service former members of her Cabinet, led by former Senate President Franklin Drilon and wife Mila, former Finance Secretary Ramon del Rosario Jr., former Land Reform Secretary Philip Juico and his wife, Margie; Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, and anti-Arroyo activists Dinky Soliman and Leah Navarro of the Black and White Movement.

Meanwhile, Kris Aquino, the former president's youngest daughter, was inconsolable, according to her manager and long-time friend Boy Abunda.

“Iyak s'ya ng iyak [She has been crying]," said Abunda, who spoke with the actress-TV host by phone around 6 p.m. on Wednesday. “She said ipaubaya na muna ng mga tao ang panahong ito sa kanya [that she be allowed to have this moment to herself]. She said she would rather not talk about her mom's condition at the moment."

Senator Benigno "Noynoy'' Aquino’s office issued a statement later Wednesday thanking "those who continue to pray for his mother's healing.''

The senator had said that his mother was brought to the hospital because she had lost her appetite. Her doctors had advised hospital confinement so that they could address her nutritional needs.

The former president is being fed intravenously.

Mrs. Aquino was taken to the Makati Medical Center last June 24 due to lost of appetite. The hospital has not issued any medical bulletin.

Kris Aquino on her mom’s health: ‘It’s a miracle’

“When she was diagnosed in March [2008 with colon cancer], we didn’t think she would make it to this birthday and yet she’s fighting, and she’s improving. And I just want to tell her that, ‘Mom, I love you,’ ‘yun lang.” said host Kris Aquino on The Buzz last January 25. The host-actress was talking about her mom’s ongoing battle against cancer.

Kris described mom Cory Aquino’s health’s improvement as a miracle. Mrs. Aquino celebrated her 76th birthday on January 25. The Aquino clan celebrated by holding a mass that was attended by her children and the rest of the family, followed by a simple lunch in a restaurant in Makati.

Kris shared that her mom talked about her condition in the mass, which was also the first time that she talked openly about it. Mrs. Aquino recalled the medical procedure she recently went through to treat her ailment. “Nung November we went through (a medical session) called strategic internal radiation therapy. The radiation goes directly para labanan ‘yon,” Kris explained on The Buzz. The host said that she got her mom’s approval to talk about the procedure on the show, which she had before the New Year.

The process has brought about a marked improvement on Mrs. Aquino’s health. Kris shared, “Almost 70 percent of the cancer has gone away. So parang it’s really such a miracle and it hasn’t been easy talaga for her. But she also said that she hasn’t suffered as much as others who go through (who have) cancer.”

Kris also extended her gratitude to everyone who prayed for Mrs. Aquino, saying that the miracle is because of the people’s collective prayers. She also asked them to continuously pray for her.

Kris Aquino returns to The Buzz

One of the highlights of yesterday's episode of The Buzz is the return of one of its original hosts, Queen of Talk Kris Aquino, to the show. The controversial actress admitted that her decision to come back is because of her co-host and good friend Boy Abunda, whose birthday was also celebrated on the show. Kris even shared a letter she wrote for Boy. It detailed how strong their friendship is and how Boy helped her to be a better person.

The letter also mentioned their similarity of being affectionate towards their respective mothers, who are both waging their own battles against ailments. "We love our moms so much and we are just so blessed that we still have them in our lives because we have both faced the possibility of losing them but we held on to our faith in God," Kris's letter went.

She also expressed to Boy her gratitude for influencing her to become a better partner to her husband James Yap. She thanked Boy for supporting her dreams for her kids and for treating Josh and Baby James like his real children. Kris also wrote in the letter that Boy became a tool for her to see her purpose in life. "You got home the message to me. God gave us the gift of celebrity to make a difference. A positive difference in the lives we touch. That's what you have done in my life.Kris revealed that her bond with Boy is so strong that they both know each other inside and out but she seldom express how much she appreciates him and their relationship. "Nandito ako, pinayagan ako ni James dahil sa iyo. At alam mo 'yan. Gagawin ko ang lahat talaga para to be here with you.”

Kris also thanked Ruffa Gutierrez, to whom she passed on her slot when she left The Buzz. "Thank you, Ruffa for letting me be here with you. Pinasa ko na talaga ito sa 'yo pero maraming salamat na hindi ka nag-atubili na sabihin sa akin na I'm also welcome."

Sam Milby denies snubbing Kris Aquino

Kris Aquino said in the November 23 episode of The Buzz that Sam Milby snubbed her after the actor sat in for the show’s Tough Ten segment the previous week. Speculation was that Sam felt bad when Kris, as the host of a showbiz talk show, gave her personal views regarding his much publicized breakup with Anne Curtis. On the set during the first shooting day of his new Star Cinema movie, ABS-CBN.com asked Sam about the incident.

“Hindi. I don’t snub anybody; I’m not like that. What happened sa The Buzz was nung dumating ako kinakausap ko si Tito Joebert (Sucaldito). Nakita ko siya (Kris) and I was going to say hi to her but she was on the cellphone and naka-stoop siya. Akala ko she won’t be able to talk to me so I turned away. Ate Kris, I’m sorry kung nagmukhang I snubbed you.” Even as he apologized for the unintended snub, the actor still chose not to talk about the state of his relationship with Anne. “I have said my piece about the whole situation. I’ll just update you guys when we (Anne) get to talk and everything is a lot better.” Sam and Anne still get to see each other during the taping of their fantaserye Dyosa.

Aside from doing TV, Sam will be busy shooting a movie with Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsay under the direction of Lauren Dyogi. This is Sam’s fifth movie for Star Cinema following Close To You, You Got Me, You Are The One, and My Big Love. The actor is excited to be working on another movie. “This new movie is very challenging. I was given the chance to grow and I am very thankful to Star Cinema. Sa mga light-romantic comedies na ginawa ko dati it was easier to get into character. When you’re doing a movie it takes time to get into character. This new movie is heavy drama and more mature so critical talaga ‘yung character and everything.”

Kris Aquino shares the blessings of being a mom

Kris Aquino and her Baby James have come up with a special musical “edu-training” album under Star Records entitled We are 1. The two-disc musical and educational compilation—soon to have a DVD—is great for mother and child bonding from pregnancy to infant to toddler stages.

In this album, Kris teaches the alphabet, colors, and numbers and also the act of praying which help build a strong foundation in children’s values formation and advancement. Kris was very hands-on with the project and she enlisted the help of Gymboree and her pediatricians. “Ako ang nagsulat ng lahat, I did the instructions, and I shared my own experiences growing up and my experiences sa pagpapalaki sa kanila.”

Kris revealed that the song “We are 1” was written by Annabelle Regalado-Borja, Managing Director of Star Records, while she was pregnant with her child. “Initially, Annabel did the demo for ‘We are 1,’ then later on another girl was assigned to sing it. When I heard it, I felt the difference. I knew the girl wasn’t a mom yet, so I requested na si Annabelle na lang uli ang kumanta. The song is about all those years you have waited to have a child.” Aiza Seguerra, Piolo Pascual, and Gary Valenciano also have songs in the album while Zaijian Jaranilla (Santino of May Bukas Pa) read one of the prayers.

Kris openly imparted that everyday she is inspired by and draws strength from her own mom, Cory Aquino. “If my mom is a 10, I’m trying my best to emulate her.” Despite her mom’s current battle with cancer, Kris never heard her complain nor give up. Instead, she graciously and bravely faces the challenges. Kris also shared that during the days her mom needed hospitalization, Mrs. Aquino would ask her why among all her siblings, Kris is the one who still has time to accompany her to the hospital considering her showbiz commitments. “Mom, of course, we will drop everything for you,” Kris answered.

On being a mom, she shared that one of the biggest rewards is that her kids adore her. “They are mommy-obsessed.” She said that her children are an infinite source of inspiration for her to be a good mother and a good wife to help ensure that their family stays united.

According to the actress-host, she is lucky to have a job like what she has with ABS-CBN because the network has been very solicitous. Contrary to what people might be thinking, since she has a daily show SNN and The Buzz on Sundays, she still has a lot of time to spend with her family. “I have days to bond with my mom, and days to be a mom and a wife.”

Kris Aquino and Ruffa Gutierrez share their views on relationships

Kris Aquino and Ruffa Gutierrez opened up about their personal relationships on The Buzz last Sunday, January 11, when the stories revolved mainly around showbiz pairs. While tackling a report about showbiz couples rumored to be splitting up, fellow host Boy Abunda asked them how would a woman know that a relationship is over based on their own experiences.

Ruffa first explained that her situation was different from the ones where couples usually fall out of love. “With me naman it’s a different situation. Even if he (ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas) wasn’t over in my heart, I had to end it because of the circumstances.” Ruffa was once married to Turkish businessman Bektas whom she left because she said she was a battered wife. The couple have two daughters, Lorin and Venice.

For her part, Kris said that she knows that a relationship is over when a wife leaves home and runs to her mother. “From experience lang, ‘yung ‘pag pumunta ka na sa nanay mo. Kunyari may balita tayo na si Assunta (de Rossi) lumipad papunta sa Italy to be with her mom. Kasi kapag tumakbo ka na sa nanay mo, that means inamin mo na ang tindi-tindi na ng problem ninyo,” Kris explained. But if the wife shields her family from her problems and tries to fix her relationship with her partner, it means that it isn’t over.

Ruffa explained that money should not be given too much importance in the relationship and that couples should instead concentrate on staying together. “Kahit siguro wala na kayong makain you’ll do everything to help [each other].”

Disagreeing with what her co-host said, Kris maintained that many relationships go downhill because of financial matters, whether it is because of too much money or none at all. “Anong sikreto d’yan? Before you take care of other’s needs, you [should] take care of each other’s needs. Ang first priority mo is your immediate family, later na ‘yung personal needs mo,” she pointed out.

Kris Aquino talks about her mom's health Last July 4, 2009

Kris Aquino’s silence on mom Cory Aquino’s health when the latter was confined in Makati Medical Center since June 22 due to loss of appetite has led many to believe the ex-president’s situation was already dire. The former president has been battling colon cancer for a year and a half now.

So despite their family's need for privacy, Kris finally decided to break her silence in Showbiz News Ngayon last Thursday night, June 2. After putting up a brave front while reading the Aquino family's official statement on the real status of Cory's health, she became visibly emotional as she recalled what they have been through recently. "Kasi parang this has brought the family so much closer together. My three other sisters take the day shift, sa gabi po three days ako, one night si Noy. We really want to spend as much time and give as much love and comfort to my mom," she began.

Contrary to some people's negative speculations though, Kris stressed that her mom is already well enough to exchange witty remarks with her. "Alam ng lahat kung anong pinagdaanan ng mom ko and kanyang patuloy na pinagdadaanan. Pero ang pwede ko ibahagi, malakas po kasi ang spirit niya, nilalabanan niya ito (colon cancer). Last night, when I got there, nag-usap pa kami dahil sinabi ko na hindi ako nakakuha ng cash sa ATM. Tapos sinabi niya, 'Why do you need cash?' Sabi ko, 'Mom para makapagpabili ako ng kape.' And then sabi niya, 'Wag na, sobra na yung kapeng iniinom mo.' Yun lang. I just want to assure everybody na nakakausap namin siya and her spirit continues to be very, very strong," she tearfully said.

Then Kris went on to express her sincere gratitude for all the people who have offered prayers for her mom's speedy recovery and for their family to be strong amidst this crisis. "Kung hindi man kami nagbabahagi ng more details, sana maunawaan ni'yo because it's painful. It's something that we would like to keep to ourselves. But please do know na alam po namin lahat kayo concerned at may pagmamahal na ibinibigay at ina-appreciate namin yun. Sana ipagpatuloy na lang nating ipagdasal 'di ba? As mom always tells us, God knows what is best. God will always take care of us as long as we have faith in His infinite goodness," she stated.

Kris Aquino on Deal or No Deal (US) Kris 2008 Update

Kris Aquino graces “Deal or No Deal” episode aired in the US

Kris Aquino recently introduced her signature move for Kapamilya Deal or No Deal to American viewers. The ABS-CBN star taught Deal or No Deal US edition host Howie Mandel to use a thumbs up sign to indicate deal and an X-sign when signifying a no deal. Kris’ gesture is one of the striking differences between the Philippines and the US version and was even used by the American contestants.

Sinong nakapanood nito? Napanood ko sa TV iyong first half, nagluluto kasi ako. Lol.

Well, totoo naman iyon di ba. Ah, ewan. Ano sa tingin niyo?

Cory Aquino’s health condition has stabilized

It was March of 2008 when former President Cory Aquino got diagnosed of colon cancer and she immediately went through chemotherapy soon after that. Her family had a few scares because of her risky condition but prayers for her speedy recovery seemed to have worked wonders during the past year. Until she got confined again at the Makati Medical Center last June 22, more than a month after she had the affected area in her colon removed (a medical operation called laparoscopic colectomy). Even her youngest daughter Kris kept mum about it until word finally got out to the media last Wednesday, June 24, as countless friends and supporters gathered at Greenbelt Chapel for the beginning of a nine-day novena mass for the former president’s fast recuperation. Information about her real condition was limited though because the said hospital refused to release a medical bulletin while the Aquino family remained tight-lipped about it except for the brief statement that they gave yesterday. “Our Mother has been battling cancer with much courage for a year and a half. Her current hospitalization was necessaary because of her loss of appetite, caused by fluid build-up in her stomach area. We remain in complete trust in God's infinite healing power. Our family wishes to thank the Filipino people for their prayers and outpouring of love and concern for our mother. She continues to be a woman of faith, a fighter, a source of hope and inspiration for all of us, not just her family but our entire nation as well. Just like she has always taught us by her life's example, we entrust everything to God.” On the other hand, Cory’s spokesperson Deedee Siytangco revealed that Cory is already conscious and have been transferred from intensive care unit to a regular hospital ward, but is not taking any medications at the moment. “We’re worried but we’re hopeful. She's no longer under chemo now. Now, she’s stable [but] there is no medical intervention there.” Incidentally, two of Cory’s strongest critics during her administration sincerely expressed their wish for her to recover as soon as possible. They also insisted that whatever hurt that they have caused each other in the past had already been healed over time. “I’ve had my political differences with Cory during her time as president. But that is a part of our role in the society, [there is] nothing personal about it. On a personal basis, I’ve always had a high respect for her. I would say that I would pray for her and hope that the Lord will embrace her if it should come to that. Or if there's any way for a miracle to happen, I wish that it would happen,” said Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile. Senator Gregorio Honasan also shared the same sentiments in a separate interview. “We join our colleague Senator Noynoy Aquino in prayers for former President Aquino. Public interest demands that we all go through an act of forgetfulness para humilom na yung mga sugat. Kapag hindi natin ginawa ito, [it will go] back to the same vicious cycle.” The senator further recalled that they have been in speaking terms since the 2007 elections and people should stop making a big deal about his show of sympathy this time around. “I approached her and congratulated her then for having a son in the senate. Ang punto ko lang dito ay hindi na issue kung ano mang nangyari noon.” Many continued to be concerned, however, especially with Cory’s emotional revelation to a friend that she wished to join the dearly departed and be reunited with her husband, Ninoy Aquino. “Kung siya daw ang papipiliin, parang gusto na daw niya sigurong makasama si Ninoy. Kaya lang ginagawa niya ang lahat ng pwedeng gawin alang-alang sa mga anak at apo niya,” recalled Cory’s good friend and former cabinet member Marjie Juico. As of press time, the Aquino siblings are said to have stayed round the clock with their mom during this sad and stressful time. (With reports from TV Patrol)

Willie Revillame offers Mommy Dionisia a regular stint in Wowowee

Kris Aquino on her mom’s battle against cancer: ‘Hindi ko na kayang maging strong’

“In the next few days po, I might be at work, I might not be at work,” simula ni Kris. “Sana ho maintindihan po ninyo na these are very difficult times. Ayoko hong magkaroon ng regrets na bakit ako pumasok sa trabaho when I could have been in the hospital. Sana ho naiintindihan n’yo rin kami na kung ano na lang ang oras na natitira, I would want to be there beside my mom. I want to be there with her.”
“Siguro eto na ‘yung pinakamahirap na time for all of us and for her. She’s in pain already. So please pray for her na sana ma-lessen (ang pain) kasi ang hirap-hirap talaga na makita na nahihirapan siya.”
Sinabi rin ni Kris na hindi madali para sa kanya na magtrabaho upang magbigay ng entertainment sa publiko habang ang kanyang ina ay nasa ospital at nakikipaglaban sa sakit. “Mahirap pong mag-entertain talaga ‘pag basag na basag na ‘yung puso mo,” naluluhang pahayag ni Kris. “Again Philippines, thank you kasi you’ve given us strength. But I’m being honest po hindi ko na kayang maging strong. And for whatever time is left, I wanna be beside my mom the same with all my siblings.”
So pray with us please that the suffering will be lessened.”

Vhong Navarro says John Lloyd Cruz deserves to be happy

Even though John Lloyd Cruz and Ruffa Gutierrez have repeatedly denied rumors of a romance, a lot of people still believe that there is something special going on between them. Published photos of the two stars together in California further fueled such speculations. Whether it’s true or not, close friends have been giving the pair their support. This included Kanto Boys dance heartthrob Vhong Navarro who told ABS-CBN.com, “Ako naman e kaibigan ko sila pareho. Basta kung saan sila masaya, nandun naman ako, susuportahan ko sila. Basta lang may mga priorities sila, sana, yun ang unahin muna nila, Para din sa kanila yun eh, pati sa families at fans nila.” Vhong seemed to understand John Lloyd’s plight when it comes to balancing his career and love life. “Alam naman natin na hindi private ang buhay ng artista. So makikita at malalaman natin kung talagang napapansin ng tao yun, so mahirap. Pero nasa pagdadala mo na lang yun, kung magpapaapekto ka o hindi. Basta ang akin lang naman, sana sa mga tao din na sumusuporta, dapat maintindihan din nila na may personal life din ang mga artista. Kasi minsan against sila dun sa gusto, yung mahal nila sa buhay, ayaw nila para sa kanya, may ganun e. Pero siyempre hindi naman lahat pwede pakialaman,” he explained. When it comes down to it, Vhong agreed with John Lloyd’s belief that you can’t fight love when it comes to you. “Naniniwala ako dun siyempre! Ang pag-ibig kapag dumating ‘yan, pagbuksan mo ng pinto. Kapag hindi mo pinapasok ‘yan, ikaw lang ang mahihirapan,” he added.

Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales confrontation

An alleged confrontation between Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales happened at the Metro fashion show by Randy Ortiz. Randy Ortiz allegedly made a gown for Kris Aquino, Charlene Gonzales and Lucy Torres-Gomez for the Metro Fashion event. Randy Ortiz is suppose to make three different creations/designs but of the same color. When Charlene Gonzales arrived, Kris Aquino was surprised that Charlene Gonzales was wearing a Randy Ortiz creation but of a different color than was conceptualized. Kris Aquino allegedly said something like, “Ay, gusto mo’ng magpa-star no?
To which Charlene Gonzales allegedly replied, “Bakit, pangit ba?
“No, maganda naman. Hindi mo lang sinunod ‘yung motiff, ” Kris allegedly replied.
Apparently, this did not sit well with Charlene Gonzales but waited until after the fashion show, and confronted Kris allegedly saying, “Kris, do you have a problem with me?
Kristeta allegedly replied, “No, it was was just a joke!”
To which, Charlene allegedly said, “Hindi e! I think you really have a problem with me!”. Tetay allegedly just kept quiet. (More than unlikely!)
And after which, Charlene allegedly told her husband Aga Muhlach about the incident and Aga Muhlach was reportedly fuming mad at Kris and allegedly said, “Kris, you don’t know me when i’m angry!” to Charlene.
And the said Kris Aquino and Charlene Gonzales confrontation was reportedly witnessed by Ruffa Gutierrez, Claudine Barretto, Bea Alonzo and Phoemela Baranda.
My take. I don’t think so. Nice try. Charlene Gonzales and Aga Muhlach are much nicer than that and would definitely not react like that and especially to Kris Aquino. Kris Aquino may have been dissed for allegedly saying so many tactless things but i highly doubt this incident. If ever it took place, some things said may have been exaggerated.
Update:
Kris in a text message sent to TV Patrol World said that her mistake was that she cracked a joke at someone who is not close to her. Also, the Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal host recalled the issue between her and Charlene about the cancellation of the latter’s weekend program.
“Di ba nga when her show in ABS was cancelled, ako’ng napagbintangan na dahilan and I already answered na di naman ako nagkaroon ng weekend show. Obviously, she doesn’t like me and my mistake was I gave her another reason to dislike me. Iniintindi ko na lang. I joked with the wrong person, so I apologized right away.”
