Gina Pareño was surprised when ABS-CBN.com asked for her reaction about the issue that Kris Aquino was criticizing Coco Martin's fashion sense on the set of Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo. " Ha? Hindi ko nabalitaan yun. Pero I don't think na gagawin ni Kris yun kasi gusto ni Kris si Coco tsaka napakabait na bata nun tahimik para pag-umpisahan ng issue." She even joked that if Coco decides to leave the show because of the bullying, she will also leave. " Chika lang yun siguro. Ayoko mawala si Coco! I'll go with Ringo (Coco's character in Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo). Pero biro lang naghahanap buhay tayo siyempre pero malulungkot talaga ako kapag wala si Ringo."
She went on to say that the Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo cast and crew have a very healthy and happy working relationship on and off-cam. " Mabait at saka thoughtful si Kris, mahilig makipagwentuhan pero pag nagte-take na kami at may kukunan na kami na eksena seryoso na siya, masarap siyang kasama. Napaka-professional, parating maaga dumating."
She was also told that Kris Aquino commends her for being one of the best veteran actresses in the industry. " Pinupuri ba niya ako? Naku, hindi ko alam pero I am so thankful lalo kapag kay Ms Kris Aquino nanggaling yun kasi totoo yun. Kapag nagustuhan ka niya bluntly sasabihin niya, 'I like you.' May ugali din akong ganun hindi rin ako plastic kapag sinabi kong, 'I like you, I really like you.' Sobrang mahal ko yung batang yun (Kris)."
